Questions answered by nut!!
I realize that every weight loss surgery program is different, as are their guidelines but wanted to share with you what my nut told me today about questions I had regarding some of the things I had read on the forum. I hope this is helpful…..
“Yes" it is true that estrogen gets stored in fat cells and is released as you lose weight, and can cause hormonal imbalances.
It is not true that post op by-pass patients can only absorb 20 grams of protein at a time, but she does not recommend going over 30-35 grams at a time.
It is not necessary to take any vitamins except your calcium and multi the first 6 months after by-pass surgery (unless you had low levels prior to surgery-and I didn’t). They test your levels at your 6 month visit to see if you need any additional supplements.
I take the following vitamins specifically designed for by-pass patients:
(2) Unjury, O Purity, Calcium Citrate Plus (chewable)
2 times a day (for a total of 4)
(1) Unjury, Bypass Optimized Multi (chewable)
(1) is the proper amount per the label
Have a Blessed Day!!
Agree with the first 2 points though.

I'm pretty blunt and have never sugar coated anything.......the lovely LW's here know that about me. I'm glad they love me ;o)
Your nut is simply that.....a nut! The routine they are suggesting is crap. Keep up that routine for awhile and you will start seeing the effects of it.
I suggest you do some research big time!
