Need some prayer

My dog had puppies 2 weeks ago.  Two of them died and one was left, we called Cocoa.  Princess, the mother, did not seem interested in him and wouldn't nurse him and kept trying to move him.  I had to bottle feed him.  Last week my neighbors dog had a puppy and we brought Cocoa to her and she started nursing him.  We thought all was well except the mother wouldn't clean Cocoa, my neighbor had to do it.  We started getting concerned because Cocoa started losing weight.  We have been trying to bottle feed him and he won't take it and now he won't nurse.  He doesn't seem to have the strength.  He kept my neighbor up all night crying and she wants us to take him home.  I don't know  what to do.  I don't have the money to take him to a vet, especially since we weren't even planning on keeping him.  I would like to have him put down since he seems uncomfortable but my daughter won't let me.  Please pray that the puppy doesn't suffer and that for my daughters emotions.  I'm going to keep trying to bottle feed him.  I don't know what else to do.  I think there is something wrong with him and that is why his mother rejected him and the other dog won't clean him.  I am pretty sure he was born too early.  He only weighs 3 oz.

Oh, poor sweet baby. Swinging lizards for him and you guys.

See if the SPCA or another local dog rescue group would take him. They will tell you up front if they can take him to care for him rather than puting him down. It also sounds like the mamma might need to be fixed. Motherhood may not be for her. SPCA will do it very inexpensively. I'm sorry you guys are having to go through this. I've been through sick dogs with my child, and we just had to put down our 13-year-old dog, and it is very hard to go through. Prayers sent.

She is getting fixed ASAP.  Thanks for the suggestion.  I'm going to check into it.
