Good Morning. More vitamins, less colds and bugs?

I guess this is a poll. Do you get fewer colds and bugs now that you're on a bigger batch of vitamins and minerals ... and protein?

For the past 2 years I've only had 2 colds and they were in August when we were on vacation. I've read a lot of posts saying that since being on the extra vitamins and minerals, the poster has had no, or at least fewer, colds, flu and bugs in general. Have you guys found this to be true too?

Now that you mentioned it, I think I have had only one stomach bug this year so far. Dont want to jinx it!
I usually am sick off and on all winter. Hope this trend continues!

Afterthought, is it the vitamins? Or is it the lack of fat and inflammation and toxins we store in the fat that keeps our immunity down? Just a thought.

I had that flu bug about a week ago, but I sure got over it quickly. I think that may have had something to do with my vitamins and being healthier in general. This is my first winter since surgery, it will definitely be interesting to see how it goes over the next couple of years.

I've always taken a handful of vitamins but not these specific ones.  I haven't been sick yet so let's hope it will be true.  My hubby just got over bronchitus but I never got anything.  Yeah.

I have definately NOT been near as sick as I normally am this time of year. I have said it is the vitamins too.

I was just thinking about this the other day.  My daughter came home from school early last Friday with the stomach bug thats going around.  My son came down with it on Wed.  They have had multiple colds also.  I have not had any colds/viruses/flu since my surgery which is very unusal for me.  Usually once one of the kids bring something home, Im always the next in line to catch it.  Just another reason to keep pushing the vitamins & protein!   Cindy

I've noticed that I haven't been sick since I've had the surgery - and that's OVER 2 years.  Not even a cold.... sometimes get some sinus stuff acting up - but it hasn't progressed into anything.

I DO contribute that to my vitamins now.  There was an article a few months ago about D and how it helped keep you from getting sick.

But I'm afraid if that nasty stomach flu bugs comes this way, I may not be lucky enough to dodge it... hopefully it won't.

I usually get a cold/allergies twice a year once in the spring and once in the fall.  I have still had this since surgery.  I took lots of vitamins before I had surgery I just take different kinds now.

I have not had a stomach bug since before I had surgery (knock on wood - because it is going around everywhere).

I have noticed that I don't get sick very often anymore, and when I do, I recover quickly. I think it is because of all the vitamins, healthier eating, and no more co-morbidities bringing down my general health. I'm also alot happier, which I think boosts your immune system.

I've been sick 2 times in the last 3+ years post-op! I had strep throat and a 24 stomach virus.  I know it's because I'm suped up on vitamins galore!!!

Yay for being healthy!
