Viva Espana!! OLE!!

Tomorrow the day has finally come that we are going on our winter vacation to Spain. It has been really long coming and I have been preparing for this trip for months since we are actually going to hunt for a nice old farm in Andalusia, the Tuscany of Spain!! When I booked the trip I was not even aware of something like VSG. My whole WLS adventure has gone so fast. I found out about this procedure in July. Found the surgeon for me. Booked a flight and had surgery in October. I still can't believe that I actually did this but am really happy now I am almost 2 months out. Great restriction and no side effects or what so ever. Spain is going to be a challenge. This is my first vacation since surgery and hopefully I will be able to make the right choices in the next 2 weeks. Wish me luck!!

Wow, I am jealous! Two weeks in Spain - that sounds so lovely. Enjoy yourself! Please take lots of pictures and share them when you get back.

Are you looking to move to Spain or just purchase a vacation home? I watch House Hunters International all the time and I try to picture myself in some fantastic beautiful locale, like Spain or France. And here you are, just going off and doing it! Very exciting.

And - congratulations on your success with your WLS!

you can't go wrong in spain with food...always cheese available to buy and you can get sliced meat ..also there is tons of fish on the coast and seafood...oh...you'll have a wonderful time...have a great trip...SEAVIEW

I went to Italy a year out - and my advice is TAKE A SHAKER CUP WITH YOU! I didn't have any way to mix my protein. I usually put it in my coffee, but they have the itty bitty cappucino cups. I freaked!! I packed my powder in my suitcase and took a little with me on the plane and didn't have any problems with it. Don't forget your vitamins!!

Yes to what Jody said. I went to Provence for 16 days when i was three months out. I took my shaker bottle and individual packets of Chike protein powder. I also took Bodytech Protein pudding in individuals packets for easy mixing. The food will be great because you'll find wonderful markets with cheese and meats and seafood that you can eat.

Margaret, hope you have a great time. I'm sure you will be able to find food that will fit in your plan just be really careful. I guess it is too late to get on line and see if you can pull any restaurants up or check out places on the internet.

Also what Lee and Jody said about taking your protein powder and shaker cups with you. I'm lost without mine.

I love House Hunters International to watch as they select their new vacation or full time homes.

Are you moving or will this just be a vacation home?
