Should I be eating more?

Right now I am taking in about 800 calories.  I have been keeping it low because I don't get a lot of exercise right now.  I get in at least 80 grams of protein and all my water and I eat low carb but I have been eating salads to add fiber and roughage.  My weight loss is still very slow.  I think I have lost 3 lbs this month so far and about 6 or 7 lbs last month.  I am afraid if I add more calories I will lose even slower.  I am down to the last 16 lbs so I know it will go slow.  If I add more calories it will probably be protein, maybe another protein shake.  I am eating about 1/2 cup of solid things like ricotta cheese or chili and about 2 1/2 oz of dense things like chicken or meat.  I wish I could afford to go to my nutritionalist but my insurance won't pay and I don't have $75.

I think it sounds like you're doing pretty good!  If anything, add another protein shake - that definitely won't hurt!  And it sounds like you're doing the right things.

Sometimes adding MORE calories will start the fat burning machine again... but of course, only GOOD calories!!

I'm a little concerned because it seems like my weight loss really started slowing down when I increased my calories from 600 to 800. I'm afraid that I will be one of those people that can't lose weight on 1000 calories a day. I have messed up my metabolism so much and who know what my previous WLS did to my system. I still don't have the energy to do any real exercise. I am hoping that if I get some money I can join the community center and use their pool and gym.

If your protein is low, you're going to feel like poop. Try 4-5 protein shakes a day for a month and see how you feel and if you drop some weight all the better. This whole thing is about health too. Your labs may tell more of the story too.
