home from surgery

All ended up working out well.  Had surgery on the 8th.  Came home last night.  I'm very sore and think I will use up ALL of my pain meds (and the gas meds)  Thanks to all for all your support.  It really helped tuning into this site.  Even if I'm not much of a talked on here, I enjoyed listening and learning from you all.  I will keep you updated but for now busy sipping, walking, sleeping, and taking pain meds.  Not feeling the greatest.

thanks

Glad everything went well. Sorry you are feeling kinda crappy. Each day it will get better and better. I promise. There is always a little buyers remorse in the beginning. I guess we are all pretty positive most of the time, posting our little victories, etc., and we forget what it was like those first couple of weeks after surgery. Hang in there, you will be back to normal before you know it. (Only smaller and healthier!)

The first week is rough so take your pain meds when you need them.  No gold stars for being in pain.  Gold stars for drinking and getting your protein in but it will take a little time maybe.
Come by when you can and let us know how you are doing.

Welcome back!  Next week should be better.  In fact, tomorrow should be better.

In the meantime, it sounds like you know exactly what to do.  Trust yourself!  & if anything seems too wacky, don't hesitate to contact your medical team.
