Hmmm.. I'd almost be afraid to do that because I don't WANT to know how much I can eat - lol, but it would be a nice reference point.

Maybe I'll try it some day.

You first Linda - let us know!

LOL - Jody, I probably don't want to know how much I can eat either!!

It is kind of like when you try a food that should make you sick and it doesn't.  I'm like I wish I hadn't tried that as long as I thought it would make me sick I didn't want it.  Now that I know I can eat it and not get sick - I have to have some control which is harder to do!!

Ash - I know EXACTLY what you mean!  There are some days I can eat a lot, and some when I eat 4 bites and am full - that happened at my BF's Thanksgiving dinner - people were looking at me strangely, especially since I didn't put much on my plate to begin with.  He understood...

When I decarb and get my fluids in - is when I notice this happens.  Usually first thing in the morning I have issues with eating solid food (ffill up quickly) and my protein coffee is usually my breakfast.

Congrats on getting your tool back in shape!!

Thanks for posting that Ash. I worry about this a lot because my dad had this surgery 7 years ago and he gained back about 50 pounds. He eats SO much now. Just like he did when he weighed 350 pounds. At least I can say that I admit I have a disease and I seek help for it which he never has done. I know that as long as I work hard and use my tool, I'll keep it off. I appreciate it when you veterans tell stories and let us know about these things. It makes me feel better knowing I have you guys to help me along

I try to help out as much as I can.  That's my personality lol.  My mom had RNY 16 years ago and has had about 30 pounds in bounce back.  She's still in the normal range so her surgeon is not worried.  I'm proud of her.  Her highest was 350 and her lowest was 125.  She's in the 150's now and at 5'6 she looks great!

I'm gonna keep on trucking......working the tool is a everyday thing

Ash ;o)

That's awesome, Ash!  People (fellow DSrs) tease me because I intentionally try to keep my sleeve size small. It's great to have you reaffirming the same thought processes I have...keep the sleeve/pouch small...keep yourself accountable....let your WLS work for you.

Thanks Ashley!
I am always curious of what the future will bring. It is reassuring to know that if you follow the rules, your tool keeps on working!

Maria one thing I forget is that when I follow the rules the tool works.  I wish I could drill that in my head.....it's just part of still having a "obese brian" lol
