Bounce back
The initial bounce back after you hit you lowest goal weight may be your body's natural balance after it puts some fluids back in your tissues...maybe 3 - 5 pounds. If you're talking about at 3 - 5 years post-op, it may just be your body becoming more efficient at absorbing macro nutrients--like the carbs you eat that it readily converts to fat. It could also be related to metabolism slowing down, I can't remember the details on that explanation.

I think the cause varies. In my case, I think I got down too low, because I did go up a cup size so that has to be from an increase in fat.
But I also decided to put on some muscle. I'm not going to be doing bodybuilding bulking up or anything but I want to be stronger and that means more muscle. That gave me a few extra pounds as well.
But my clothes still fit the same. In fact, some of them are looser. Well, not my bras.
