Bye-bye obesity!
Just wanted to send out a big hug to all of you that have been there for me lately, you have made this journey so much more enjoyable and a whole lot less lonely! I had some borderline depression preop, and it seems to have gotten a little worse, but working on things and psych really seems to be helping. I know I will not always feel this way.
Finally broke my stall from the middle of October! Down to 158 this morning, and that officially puts me at being just overweight! No longer in the obese range!
Thanks LW's, you guys are the best bunch a losers a girl can have!!!

Congrats Maria! Doesn't it feel wonderful! I am so happy for you! Keep up the good work. I think the depression kind of goes along with this whole ride. I know I had some depression because of the way I looked preop, I hated being fat (who doesn't???) I don't exactly understand how or why but I think hormones and emotions do play a big role post op for us too! You are not alone girl.

Thanks Sandi!
My world did get much smaller the larger I got. I do have a lot of issues with self esteem and negative thinking, but I know I can change. And the hormones, omg! I can cry watching pampers commercial some days! Thanks for letting me know, it is just not me!
You are doing such a great job, you are almost at goal!
Love seeing your avatar in your skinny jeans, but I guess you are even smaller now.

Congratulations Maria! One more milestone to put under your belt!! You'll be to normal in no time!
Yes, the hormones can wreak havoc on you, especially if you've had depression before. I'm glad to hear you are getting help and working on it - and glad we can be here to give you the support you need!

Congratulations! Doesn't it feel great to bust a stall? I had one for 6 weeks and it about drove me crazy. You start to thinking that you will never lose any more weight and you will be stuck there forever. But eventually all the right things you just keep doing start to kick in and your body decides to cooperate, and then the scale finally shows the results of your efforts.
Hooray for 158!!

I'm so glad to hear this news, Maria! I've been hoping for a victory for you. Now you have it! (I had no doubt, of course.)
That's what friends do - we hope on your behalf when, for whatever reason, you can't seem to find the hope. Knowing that you won't always feel that way is a good sign - maybe you're emerging from it, finally?
I think that you'll notice big changes in how your body feels in the overweight category v. the obese one. Someone told me that once (I think it was Jody or Linda or both) and I really did feel it. Whereas, before, I thought these BMI charts were kindof arbitrary, now, in my experience, they actually do signal something in our bodies. Fascinating! (I can't wait to see what "normal" feels like...)

Hi Maria, welcome to "overweight". Isn't it a great feeling? I too have been on a very long plateau. I'll take your moving on down as a sign that it will eventually happen for all of us.
I get it about the depression. I've never suffered from depression but I have to admit that I have had a lot of "blue" days in the last three months. Sometimes it freaks me out a little, but I know that it will pass.
Here's on to better and lighter things for you!! :)
