What's your vitamin routine?
My schedule is in flux. Here is what I am doing right now:
AM: 500 mg of calcium with Vit D. (Citrical)
VersiCare (medicine for bladder)
Noon: 2 adult Centrum, 1 Proferrin ES (iron, not sure the dosage), 1 500 mg Vitamin C, 50 mg Co-Enzyme Q10, 50 mg Biotin
Afternoon Snack: 500 mg Calcium Citrate w/Vit D
1 Omega-3 Softgel
Dinner: 500 mg Calcium Citrate w/Vit D, 1 Omega-3 Softgel
Every other Monday: 50,000 IU Vitamin D3
The Co-Enzyme Q10 is supposed to give you energy at the cellular level and is good for endurance athletes. However, there is a new form that is better absorbed, especially by people over 45 and I have a bottle of that and will switch once my bottle runs out.
The Biotin was to help with the absorption of other nutrients but I don't think it's doing anything so I'll stop taking it when the bottle runs out.
I am thinking about changing things up though. I'm look at that new Celebrate product where you take your vitamins and calcium together in a powder you add to water (similar to Crystal Light) and then I would take my iron at a separate time. I need to run out of multivitamins first and also I need to do the math to make sure the powder has enough of the stuff I care about. It actually has potassium which a lot of the chewables don't (which is why I don't take them). I won't take a multi without potassium. I've had issues in the past and potassium is important.

This is so interesting! I'll be curious to see what you end up changing so please report back.
It's amazing to think it was not that long ago that doctors were not even convinced of the benefits of vitamins and they did not particularly endorse them. I wonder if alternative medical therapies and topics like this are part of med school yet.
This good info ought to get the newbies a good start. THANK YOU!
