Lee, I'm so sorry your hair is gone!!  Can we see a picture or your new do????  I'll bet it is cute.

When you said your neck was cold, I thought that would be a good excuse to wear beautiful scarves. 

I would rather be a 10 with short hair also!!  I've actually let mine grow out more than it has been in years.  Mine grows really fast - I think it is all those vitamins.

I know how you are feeling. I had over 6 inches cut off and it is falling out by the handfulls!
My thyroid is off too, and  I have been on a platuea! If I was losing more than just my hair, maybe it wouldnt be so bad!
Love the idea of the scarves and the jewelry.

 Sweet Maria,  I just want to give you so many hugs.  I know you've been having a rough go of it.  I really get it about the plateau.  Losing hair would be a lot easier if there was pounds coming off to.  

I guess we don't get to decide the timing of everything, eh?  :)

Your hair really looks good in your avi.  Have you cut it more since then?

Lee - I know you didn't want to lose your beautiful hair again. But I looked at your head shots in your profile and I can tell that you look really great with the shorter hair. You have the perfect facial features for a pixie cut. Like Mia Farrow way back when. You have gorgeous eyes with great bone structure, brows and cheekbones. And you certainly haven't gotten aging lady shriveled lip syndrome that - ahem - some of us have.  Why don't you do what others have suggested and get your make up done. Get your brows darkened and shaped into an arch. I would kill for your eyebrows ... and those eyes! I wanted to get my brows shaped once by a fancy brow to the stars person and she scoffed at me and said I had nothing to work with and left the room!  Well you sure do. And I wouldn't worry about adding some gentle highlights, but your hairdresser can safely advise you. I can picture you with a tan (like in your Bday pic), with light white/blonde highlights in your fringy bangs. You will look hot hot!
Also, are you going to get your meds for your thyroid checked? Maybe that's the cause of a lot of your symptoms lately. I'm sorry things aren't easier.

Kathy, what a sweet response you've written me.  Thank you so much for taking the time.  You know, I don't have much in the way of brows either.  They end half way across my eye, which I understand is thyroid stuff as well.  Looking at my hair this morning, it's grown a little since Friday.  I think I'm going to get used to it in time and hopefully by then it will be growing out and staying on my head.

Ya know, a good brow pencil works wonders.  Also, Bobbie Brown's eyebrow bru****'s like a mascara wand. 
Anyway... my hair?  Dreadful.  Pitiful.  I thought it was finished rebelling.  No such luck.  Too bad hair extensions would never work with our type of hair loss. We'd be balding and stringy near the scalp with full locks starting below the ears!  Now that would look hilarious!  Oh dear.  I wish I had a good face and neck for a shorty cut.  I have one of those necks that starts at my chin. I hate my profile even when I'm thin.  I kind of have the Wizard of Oz Scarecrow's neck!  Not pretty with a pixie hair cut!  haha.  I'll ask for my hair to stop falling out for Christmas.
