Yup, me too.  I was there buying Xmas gifts.  I came away with a cashmere sweater for someone and cashmere blend socks for people in my office.  I clearly think this is a year to be warm and snuggly.   I got my son a couple of sweaters that he may or may not like.  Simple cotton crew necks that were marked down from 45 to 15.  Great sale.  I just got a plain black and a plain navy.  If he doesn't like them they fit me.  Last winter I couldn't get into a men's XL, these are both M and fit great.

I still have not gotten the courage ( or money) to go out and and even try anything on, I am still wearing my 1 pair of 20 yr old 16's that I found in my closet.
I was told that I am being swallowed whole by my shirts but I think I will wait a little longer to even invest in anything.

Stacey,

Splurge a little woman!  I used the KOHLS return policy to my advantage(return anything, no questions asked)......I bought several outfits and wore each one once maybe twice and then returned them and picked out new outfits that fit.....LOL  I didn't need to buy a lot because I spend most of my time in scrubs.......but when I did have to go out my clothes always fit........I was about where you are at now when i started doing this......every month or so I needed new sizes........I only had to do that a couple of times so I didn't feel to guilty.......LOL.........

I need help. The MADS are gathering at my house today and I was thinking of maybe wearing winter white cords and a cream cashmere turtle neck. Is that too much winter white?

Other Options:
Winter white cords with teal 3/4 sleeve cowl neck sweater.
Grey dress slacks with a deep red long sleeve dress shirt.
Grey dress slacks with the teal sweater.

I would go with the winter white cords and the deep red long sleeve dress shirt. It is the holiday season, .but whatever you choose I'm sure you will look great BABEE!

Its probably too late for an answer, but NO not too much winter white - but I'd be more concerned about how warm you're going to get in sweaters if youre cooking abd have a houseful of guests...

I think the grey slacks and deep red dress shirt sound great!  I'd love to see a picture of that.

I really like the idea of U in all creamy winter white  ..I suspect Ud look   really stunning ..and it would be a  " special  "   holiday outfit   too without   taking U out of  Ur elegant- casual   comfort zone ...

but me ... I always try on  three or   for choices  and go with the one that makes me feel sexy  that day ... for WHATEVER   reason.

sometimes  i feel best in the  outfit that covers a little more , sometimes in the  showiest one ...  its all  about my MOOD  ....and i have to feel very  body- secure  unself conscious  and dressed  RIGHT   to really  focus  on socializing and the other guests .

Have FUN  !!
