The Good, the Not So Good, and the Ugly...

Hi LWs,
It's been an exhausting day.  Quick recap:

GOOD
Went to Chiro who was really proud of all the weight I'd lost and for the ways that my spinal issues have completely cleared up!  This is a huge deal since, before surgery, I had to see him 3x/week to adjust various things.  He also gave me some helpful information on my "tailbone" (which actually wasn't my tailbone, it's another bone) issue that I'll update about later.  Anyway, chiro was happy with my spine and astonished at my flexibility.  I was shocked!

NOT SO GOOD
The shoulder pain is still there - it's muscular, apparently, and that just has to work itself out.  At least it's not as bad as last time.

UGLY
After leaving, I decided to stop by a thrift store to see if I could find a coat that would fit me.  I didn't.  And while there, a woman bumped into me and stole my wallet. I didn't figure it out for another 10 minutes or so, but by then she was long gone.  At least they have her on video.

The police came, I cancelled all the cards, etc. and everything should be fine.  She'll get the $2 I had in cash.  And she'll get my beautiful (but old) wallet.

But you know what?  I'll be just fine!  I hope she gets something good with all that cash.  ;)

I'm so sorry about you wallet. What a hassle. I am glad you didn't lose much. I hope your shoulder feels better soon.

The Good:  I'm glad you had a good session with the chiro and that he didn't give you too much, if any, grief about your WLS decision. Seeing the benefits seem to be speaking louder than his opinion about having to use medical intervention. I think a holistic health approach is awesome and we should try it first before seeking medical intervention in many cases.

The not so good: Any idea what's causing the shoulder pain to occur to start with?  I hope it feels better.  Good excuse to get back and shoulder rubs though...hmm...

The ugly:  I'm so sorry that happened. People are carrying some cash this time of year. I guess she was either desperate or a pro. I hope you get your new cards soon and that you never get hit again.

Yes - that's what I suspected - he needed to see how much it helped, and didn't even bother to be discouraging - what would that have helped?  He's a good guy, not a fool.  :)

I think that the shoulder issue began as a result of these rolling pushups I tried on Wednesday morning.  The pain started by the afternoon, so I'm thinking that the two were related.

She misjudged on the cash issue!  But you're right.  I just miss my wallet.  Then again, it's just a thing...

So sorry this happened to you. That lady must have been pretty desperate to be shoplifting in a thrift store.

Thanks!

Normally I'd agree, but this thrift store is kindof a spot, and it's on the Upper East.  She just chose the wrong person - I never carry cash!! :)

Good Glad your chrio appt went well. I had one today also. My Dr was ok but he never even mentioned that I had lost 54 lbs just ask if I was all healed. Well, yes. Oh well.

No good. take care of that shoulder, sorry it couldn't be fixed easily

Ugly. That just stinks. I hate having to do the new card thing. I also visited a thrift store looking for a coat, no luck either.

I'm thinking after Christmas everyone will turn their old coats in the Thrift shops that got new coats and the new coats will be marked way down.  So I'll keep looking but not be disappointed for a while.
