Trying to stay positive!

Things are slowing down and I am getting frustrated!

The beginning of october I weighed 164 then by the 2 week 160 and since then I bounce from 160 to 162.

My hair is falling out like crazy! I am getting my protein in, thank goodness for about time protein powder! Been taking biotin and my vits. Exercising atleast 4 times a week, I knew it would happen, but the timing sucks! Need to stay motivated through the holidays. I wanted to be in the 140's by my birthday in january, and feel like I am not going to make that goal. Which translates into my crazy thinking Failure! I know I am not logically, but that little voice in my head just wont be quiet!

On the other hand, I cant complain, I have alot more energy. My diabetes and high blood pressure are gone. I need a new wardrobe, my 16's are too big now. I love going to yoga and pilates. Cant wait to try zumba. Me  and exercise? Yep! I would have never believed it 6 months ago.

Well thanks for listening. Hope you all have a great day.

Oh Maria honey you are not a failure by any means.  What you described sounds pretty normal IMHO.  I did the same thing.  I stalled and plateaued and slowed down.  Then it would pick back up and I'd loose like crazy.  It's just different for everyone post-op.  All our bodies are different.  Biotin is what I took for hair loss and its great.  After about 1 1/2 years post-op my hair stopped falling out.  I dont even take the Biotin anymore.

I always say I'd be doing great if I could turn of my "fat girl mentality" it drives me nutts!  Hang in there.  BTW....Zumba is awesome! I love it.

iron n zinc stopped the hair loss 4 me.  Silicon  helped it grow back thick.

my body did  a lot of stalling   and  i was FINE with it .... kind of .. until  I suddenly started ranting and raving lol.

I really  dont think U  can tell Ur body  when to lose the weight  ...but eating  fat free  ( and at HOME because U eat a lot less  fat and a lot less  period  )  definitely helped me ....

also  exercise ...

its funny  eventually U  just  grow into Ur body i think.     Im  pretty OK  with it now .   Im also  VERY Ok  with eating a LOT less .  Somehow the body size IS tied to that lol !!

Now im going through a  thing  debating plastic surgery .   I have an offer on a house  and I could get all the surgery i want  ... pronto .  Or I can hold onto it and have a lifetime income .

A  few  months ago  a concrete  offer  would have been all I dreamed of ....now not so much .    Im thinking  though ....

I look at your stats as a source of motivation! You have lost so much weight in such a short amount of time!! And many of your health issued are resolved....you have what everyone wants!!
Focus on all those positives and enjoy the journey. You are by no means a failure...you are already a success!

Oh Maria!  Please don't let it get you down.  Look at you growing out of your 16's.  Celebrate it and celebrate yourself and how terrific you've done.  You're getting to low weights so the slow down is natural.  You'll get where you want to go, but maybe you don't get to pick the timing.  I wanted to be at goal before the end of the year but heck, not gonna happen.  I'm now hoping for my 1 year out being at goal, but losing 1 pound a week probably won't get me there either.  Truth is, I feel so much better than I did a year ago.  I'm trying to celebrate everyday of being healthier.

I notice that you haven't been online as much lately and you're not posting as much.  When we're feeling dumpy is the time that we really need to check in often and stay close to our support team.

We all get where you're coming from.

You're doing great! I'm only a few weeks out (2 to be exact) but I look at your story and think "wow, I hope I can do that well." Keep it up and enjoy the exercise. I haven't found the right exercise mix for me yet - hoping that will happen soon!

Way to go girl.

Glad to hear you are working on that "head talk".  MOST of us stall at least a few times...  it's hard to get use to and I always think "well, I'm done loosing", then I will start loosing again, though maybe slower.  Try not to get discouraged, if you are doing your program, it WILL come off.  Congrats on your success thus far, you really have done VERY WELL!!!!

Keep the faith,
Jane
