So Disappointed...
Dr Scott was wonderful. I actually have seen both of the about equally but who ever you chose will do your surgery. I had no problems nor did any of his other patients who had surgery my week. The office is great and although they are slow and through about all the diet stuff, we know what we are doing and have the information we need. I would do it again even with the driving (1.5 hr from me).

Ohhh Jenny I'm so sorry girl! This truly sucks. I know how much you wanted this surgery "right now"!
I know it's not going to help but God has a plan for making you wait a little longer. It could be a hidden blessing persay.
It will happen and good things come to those who wait sugar pie.
Hugs and kisses!
Ash ;o)

Thanks Ash...I feel much better today! I have a different mind set. There is a mom here at our school who is spending her last Christmas with her children that are 3-year old twins, and 2 others. It really puts things in perspective! I'm blessed to have the life I have with my family, children, and all my friends!!
Oh Jenny - (((HUGS))) - how disappointing!! I can imagine how crushed you felt.
Hang in there darling - the wait is worth it and it WILL happen!

That is a major bummer. But once things get rolling, you can hopefully hug it up to your next break, and have one full week taken care of. I felt good after one week, and was able to work. I hope you have a week's worth of time accumulated to take that 2nd week? You still will get really tired. Hang in there. I hope it all falls smoothly into place.
Oh Jenny!! I'd be so disappointed if that happened to me. I feel for you! I hope that you will make the most of your two weeks off in December and really have a fun time of it. Don't let this setback take the wind out of your sails. I had my surgery in February and thought that was the perfect time for recovery and then getting out into the spring sunshine to exercise. Let's look for anything positive in this that we can find for you.

What bad timing for you! I know how you feel. I got the rug pulled out from under me twice while waiting.... but never quite so close to the date! That really stinks. Although I did have a 3rd scare when the Minnesota nurses announced they were going to go on strike the day of my surgery. (A week before my date.) But somehow I wasn't upset by that possible postponement. Would YOU want to be on the operating table with a bunch of substitute nurses flown in from another state? Me neither. Turned out the nurses went on strike a couple of days after my surgery.
Maybe this is the work of your guardian angel. The hospital losing its Center of Distinction status is not good. It probably was not just a matter of paper work gone awry either. I'm glad you will be following your surgeon to a hospital that will give you the excellent care you deserve. Until then, hang in there... and word of advice: Don't gain too much weight between now and your new surgery date. When mine got postponed I behaved as I always did when frustrated... I ATE! My surgeon nearly blew a gasket and walked out on me after he checked my chart in pre-op - all because of a few pounds gained. Yeesh!
Stay strong!
