159! Yeah
I am so happy to be in the 150's! I basically have no malabsorption so I am doing this just with restriction. When I had my revision my surgeon warned me a few times that I might not lose weight. I don't know if he said that because I had already failed miserably with my first surgery or if my metabolism was so screwed up but I was ok because I just wanted the side effects to end and to feel better and not gain any more weight. Now I am down almost 60 lbs. I am fine here or where ever I land. I am also surprised that I have been losing regularly. about 1 to 2 lbs a week with no exercise.
I still have no energy but I am pretty sick this week, too. I have a sore throat and stuffy nose. Seems to be going around here.
I went to the doctors last week and he started me on a new antidepressant. I am feeling better but still no energy. It is very discouraging but I am hopeful that it will get better.
I was just thinking. In the last few years I have: stopped smoking, stopped overeating, stopped refined carbs (sugar and flour), stopped biting my nails and who knows what else. I am taking better care of myself then I ever have. I have to feel better!

I'm glad you are feeling better (in general), hopefully the cold will go away too. You are getting very close to goal, you should be so proud of yourself! I remember not that long ago, you were struggling a lot, and it sounds like you are doing so much better. Keep up the good work, and maybe try a little bit of exercise, surprisingly, it gives you energy. Exercise boosts your endorphines and causes a natural "high" and gives you energy for your day.

Congrats of getting to the 150s!! I too am close behind at 163 and hope to reach 150s by yr end!! I also do not have any more energy. I feel good, happy, etc., but no more energy and I expected to have that. Oh well, I'm happy AND slender and that's what is more important to me.
To your continued success, and hope your cold is gone soon.

I had a DS in 2002. Lost all my weight and then slowly started to regain. I never changed my eating habits and I paid for it. Had terrible gas and dirrhea, wasn't good at supplements because I thought that if I was absorbing calories I was absorbing vitamins. I had my common channel lengthened so I have hardly any malabsorption and my stomach made into a pouch so I wouldn't continue to regain.
