1 year ago today............photo warning

Today at 11:34 am our sweet baby boy turns 1 year old.  Today is bittersweet for me.  As I posted of FB this morning I got rather emotional about it.  Our son Bryder is our last baby, ever! DH had the snip snip.  After having 2 girls we so desperately wanted a son.  I never understood what other moms meant when they talked about how much they loved their baby boys.  It's a love I never thought I would experience.  I'm happy to see that he's a healthy, happy and growing like a little boy should.  The other part of me is sad that he's not my tiny baby anymore. I miss the newborn snuggles and cuddles and the rocking him to sleep.  At 1 year old he's just busy learning and exploring to sit and suggle with momma.  The sad part is....it will just get worse as he gets older! Eeeek!

Oh - how sweet!  Yes, babies DO grow up - but he's going to still need his mommy for the cuddles and sweet kisses, just as your girls do - and you can look forward to shaping him into a fine young man! 

My kids are 26 and almost 21 now - and way beyond cuddles, but they still love their hugs from mom. Now I have the grandbaby to snuggle and cuddle.

Thank you Jody! I will always have plenty of hugs and kisses for my kiddos that's for sure even if they dont want them! Hahahaha

I have two sons (4 and 7) and had the hysterectomy last year, so I am done as well!  ((HUGS)) to you!  He's beautiful!!!!

Awww, super cute pics! I also had 2 girls, then finally a boy and I had my tubes tied. My baby boy is 18 months old, and I am kind of the opposite, I'm glad he's getting bigger and more independent. I love tiny new babies, but I also love the freedom of having older kids. I was a stay at home mom for a couple of years, and now I'm back in school full time and focusing on myself just a little.

I totally get what you mean Shannon.  Our oldest DD is almost 8 years old.  I've stayed home with her since day 1.  I wanted to go back to school when she started kindergarten but then I found out I was pregnant.  Skyler is  now 26 months old then little brother at 12 months. I've decided once they are all in school full time I will get my turn.  I love being a stay at home mom but I would also love to go back to school and do something "just for me"!
