HELP! Need to get back on track!
I wi**** was that easy. Mom lives with us and going to the market in one of the things she does to get out of the house. She DID take a course given by her medical group and she still wants junk periodically. Last time we went to the store I all but screamed at her. So no more junk. AND she had a heart attack in Sept (reason why she lives with us at 73). No sugar and no salt allowed.

Melissa, I feel your pain. My DH loves junk and brings all kinds into the house. I have at least gotten him to bring in chips that I don't like. That helps some.
Try to go back to basics with your protein and fluids and see if that won't get you back on track. Try to drop the bad carbs if you have been eating them. Are you still exercising?? I'm so bad about not doing that part.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks Linda! Me and hubby just had "the talk". Him and our daughter had lost about 60 lbs between the two of them but he started gaining again and is very frustrated. He is on the road all day and doesn't make the best choices, In the beginning he did choose Subway and take fruit etc. I told him I would pack him healthy snacks. It's hard to get back into the swing of things for him.
The only bad carbs were Thanksgiving carbs. Otherwise I was doing real good and choosing healthy carbs and seldom. I'm bad about exercise too but I do have a treadmill and try to get on it about 3 times a week and I'm very active on the weekends.

Melissa - yes this has happened to me!
I realized that I was still eating 5 times (or more) a day - 3 meals, 2 snacks and maybe another snack at night. AND - because my pouch is now bigger - I can put more in each time...
So - I cut out my snacks at work - increased my fluids and added another double protein drink (as a snack if needed - I don't really count that as a snack).
AND - I started listening to my body and eating ONLY when I was hungry. I was VERY surprised how fast it came off. Also decarbing helps keep the hunger in control.
Yesterday I got a "hunger" strike - and sat down and drank my 33 oz bottle of Crystal Lite - and that did the trick. I was surprised how well it worked.
You can do it!

For some reason yesterday i was very hungry. And not head hunger. I satisfied it with cottage cheese.
I only have protein in the AM now mixed with coffee...can't stomach it any other way or time anymore. I love to get a Starbucks iced coffee (about once a month in the summer) with nonfat milk and ad a scoup of chocolate protein. But it's way too cold for it now.

I gained over Thanksgiving too. I just kind of let loose. And I was already up a couple from my lowest weight before the holiday. I just went back to my normal eating (a little lower calorie than usual) and the Thanksgiving weight is gone already. I also work out very hard though. Since I can eat more, and like to eat, I make sure to eat lower calorie foods so I can still have my 6 meals/snacks a day. I have gotten so used to it, I would be starving by meal times. So I eat celery or cucumbers or other fresh veggies several times a day. They fill me up, are crunchy, and you can eat a lot for a few calories. Plus they have lots of water and fiber in them. You can do this, just get a hold of it before it goes too far!
