I made it! Posting from the hospital at 3am
Surgery was Monday at 9am. It went great. I don't remember anything...not even moving from recovery to my room. Felt really good yesterday...read three magazines and chatted on the phone with friends. Walked the halls, was able to take my Cymbalta and three other pills with no problem.
My only complaint was I haven't slept but 4 or 5 hours since Sunday night. The staff is in constantly so as soon as I drift off...here they come :) Being discharged today so will be home and comfy in my big fat recliner..woohoo!
Today the gas pain****!! Oh boy!! I NEVER imagined they could feel so miserable! I have walked and walked and walked...nothing is working :( It may take a few more days...I will be on the Lortab as soon as I walk in my front door!!
My incisions look great...3 half inch wide and three 3/4 inch wide. Closed with dermabond..no bruising or anything.
Have no hunger and no problems sipping, it is hard staying on top of it all day...hopefully it will be easier when I get home. Thanks for all your prayers and support!!! Let the journey begin!

WooHoo, welcome to the other side.
I definately rested better once I got home, even if it wasn't in bed. And I felt better each day. So get home and continue to get better. The gas pains will go away. Gax X strips did seem to help mine some.

Congrats!!! You sound like you are doing great! Hope your lack of hunger "hangs out" for a while, mine did. The lbs should start shedding, though I know some don't right at first. I lost a lb a day for the first 10 days, then slowed to around 2 lbs a week. Good luck and welcome to the loosers bench. Keep us posted on your progress.
