Thanks for asking. Yes, I completed the run. I think it was one of the hardest things I have ever done but it was also one of the most rewarding. I am really slow and it took me a little over 3 hours to complete it. I enjoyed it enough that I plan to repeat it next year so I can compare and see my progress. In the meantime I am going to do another one April2 here in town. Then I have other runs planned all summer long. I am afraid that if I don't have a goal, I wont keep working at it.

WOW - Congratulations.  I can't imagine doing that.

I have agreed to do a 5K with my niece 12/11 and have done absolutely nothing to get ready for it.  She will actually walk most of it.  She had a kidney transplant a couple of years ago and is trying to get back in shape from enjoying so much food that she could not eat before her surgery!!  I would like to run some, but I'll see.  Maybe I need some type of goal to get me motivated.
