Finally made it home!!!

We are now finally back home from visiting our families in Indiana and Kansas, I tell you it was a hard trip this year. Maybe it is because the kids ae older, I dont know but it sure did feel great to sleep in my own bed again.

The best part is I lost 5 whole pounds!!! WOOHOO! This has been one of the biggest weight drops from me since the first month. To be honest I have no clue what I did right, I do know I had more "carby" type foods and am thinking I need to go ahead and increase them.
I do not feel that they were bad choices though, I did find myself snacking ( out of boredom) and only in the car for the rides, never while at the house. My snacks were, mixed nuts, pretzels and some crackers and homemade cheese dip.

Anyway, I feel great and ready to make this work for me.

IT IS SO WONDERFUL TO BE BACK HOME!!!!

Glad you made it home safely and minus 5 lbs to boot.  Traveling is hard for me so I totally understand.

Welcome back! Sometimes when you eat low calorie and low-carb for a long time, your body needs a break from it and will drop pounds fast. Then if you go back to your regular eating, you will continue to lose. Just keep track of everything and figure out what works for you.

Yea!!  Sounds like you had a good time and congrats on teh 5 lbs..

BUT - its not unusual when you start adding in foods you wouldn't necessarily eat before to see a jump in your weight loss. Its like your body is saying "hey - shes giving me food - I don't have to hold onto the fat".. but if you continue keeping your carbs high, your weight loss will suffer.

I used to do that when I stalled - eat some stuff I normally wouldn't have, and see my weight loss start again, then I'd go back to eating according to the rules.

I had the same thing happening this weekend. I lost 3 pounds in 3 days even though I had more carbs (the bad ones) and calories than I normally have.  I had pizza and egg(s) benedict and even a fast food veggie burger (without the bun). Small amounts, but still.  I really thought I would have gained but I did not!! PEEEEW!!
Anyway, welcome home and enjoy the "loss"!!LOL
