One Week Update

 Feeling much better ladies!

Having trouble with the water, but sticking with it. After little bits of exercise, and the nephews and family going pheasant hunting without me (and with my best dog), I couldn't stand it anymore. I went with them on Saturday to rabbit hunt with our beagles. I had to stop and rest frequently and was tired halfway through and just found a good spot to wait for them to come back my way. It was a GREAT day though and I feel much better today than I had last week.

Post-op appointment Monday. Am having some sharp pains along one incision area - so don't know what that's about.

I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday with family or friends.

Ah, Jane!  Great update!

Your recovery sounds like it's coming beautifully.  Good for you for getting out there - I wouldn't have been able to do that in my first week post-op!  So you're doing much much better than I did.

Keep up the good work - and yes, reaching the targets is super hard in the first few.  You'll get there soon - just keep at it!  :)

Great job, I also have developed some shooting pains along the incision they pulled my tummy out of. It is still mostly numb so I think the pains may be feeling returning, just a guess.

Great job.  I could barely make it to get a pedicure the first week.  Remember to get your rest, and keep sipping.  It gets better each day.

Wow - hunting already!!

Just keep sipping, walking an resting.  Don't overdo it.

I had some pain on the left side around my waist and he said it was one of the places he went in and it was normal, but I would mention it to him at the appointment.  Good luck tomorrow.

Wow...you go you...hunting?? It sounds like it was fun!!

I hope your post op appt goes well and you get A+++

The sharp pains are prob healing pains...I had that with the JP drainage incision...bugger bugged me for a while post op...

The trouble with water is normal...I loved sf popsicles during that time AND just plain water not too cold worked...sensitive pouch back then. NOW?? I can do most of those flavor pouches and drink like a nonop at times...can't really gulp but that's ok...lol

Take care of you and don't overdo it :)
