Going to take the plunge - again!

Well gals (and lurking guys) - I've decided I'm going to take the Plastic Surgery plunge again.  I've decided to go ahead and have my breast lift/augmentation.

My surgery date is Jan 18th and will be with the same Dr who did my tummy tuck.  I'll stay with my daughter for a week or so before coming back home.  Its exactly 1 year minus 1 day after my tummy tuck...  the main reason I decided to do it now is because BF is having rotator cuff surgery in Dec and will be in a sling until March; I'll get my boob job and should be recovered pretty good by March - and we're talking about going to Vegas or taking another vacation then.

I'm having a challenge finding someone who can take me/pick me up from the clinic (its outpatient)... but I'll keep working on it.  If my daughter has a job by then, she won't be available.  BF has a mandatory training session that day and can't go, my sister has to work and has no backup - phht!  I'll figure it out....  I had a consult with a Dr here, but the price was $3000 more than down there... and plus since this is the Dr who did my tummy tuck and did an awesome job - I just feel good about him doing this one too.  Its inconvenient as far as location, but I guess its the way it goes.

A little excited but not nearly as emotional as the last surgery - I guess its because I know a lot more about it and what to expect.

Oh Jody...how exciting!!! I'd take ya if I was in the area...  :)

I am ready for plastics. The girls...well, I thought I would pass on any augmentation but the bewbies left with the rest of me so I would like to get new bewbies and a tight tummy tuck. I remember you getting very nervous about the TT and can't believe its almost been a year for you.

Can you believe that in about 3 weeks or so it'd be a year for my wls?? and that you were (and still are) my angel??

I'll PM you with lots of questions when I am ready for plastics. I have a goal to pay off all my cc debt by june and I am so on track its disgusting...lol even with all my 2010 trials and tribulations...lol

HUGS to you and boy will that be a fun Vegas trip for your recovery. If you drive 8 hrs up north...you can come visit me in Reno :) JUST kidding...I'm sure you'll be plenty occupied!!!

I ran across your just post-op pic in the hospital on my computer the other day and couldn't believe how long its been!

Feel free to ask my any questions you want - we can even talk on the phone - that makes it so much easier sometime.

I'd LOVE to come and visit you!  Maybe we'll see what we can work out....

YAY Jody!  I'm so happy that you're doing this for yourself.  We had a plastic surgeon at Kaiser come and talk to our WLS support group a few weeks ago.  I really liked him but I bet Kaiser is more expensive than other places.  Everything is seriously heading south on me.  Being 60 just isn't helping with skin elasticity!

How many weeks were you off work with your tummy tuck?  It's hard to believe that was almost a year ago!  How many weeks will it be with this next surgery?  I'm definitely going to want my girls to find a happier location to hang out.

I took off 4 weeks with my tummy tuck.  I know others take less time off, but because I had to recuperate at my daughters, and go back for Dr visits - it worked out well.

I don't know about this one, but I'm thinking 2-3 weeks.  I've heard it isn't nearly as hard to recuperate from than the TT.

Thanks for the well wishes!  I'm going to be happy when its done!

That sounds wonderful Jody! I'm glad it's all coming together for you - and if worse comes to worse, you can always take a cab home if BF will be there soon after you arrive!

I would love to get some boobs but I am really worried about losing nipple sensation. I have no boobs what so ever . They are non existant. I am really afraid of a boob job though.

Congrats Jody. You're brave. I will be anxious to hear how you like it later one. Do they feel the same like they always felt?

I know the nerves get cut, but then they heal again - so I'm not sure how it will affect sensation.  I don't have a lot now, so I'm not worried about losing it.

I've got the same questions - "how's it going to feel, look, etc"... I guess we'll see!

I'll be posting some questions on the PS board in a few weeks, I'm sure.  Those people are very helpful!
