Fitness Challenge - Day AFTER Turkey Day
Whew...I don't know about y'all...but yesterday was awesome. I made 2 seriously poor choices that my friend the scale is not shy in telling me about.
Lesson #1 - NO CHEXMEX to be brought into the house!!! EVAH....I probably ate like 1 cup - 1 1/2 cup throughout the day nibble here and nibble there...why?? cuz dried carbs like that sit real well in the pouch. Ugh, bad me bad me...
Lesson #2 - Just because 1 bite of regularly made store bought pumpkin pie sits well, don't have more...I mini-dumped because my DS2 left like an inch from the top of the crust on down on a regular size sliced pie...wasn't really please with the taste...just testing and being a little rebel I suppose....Well, 30 min later it got me back. Headache and ever so tired feeling like passing out feeling...so I went to bed. felt the bubble gut throughout the night so ya, mini dump baby....oh well, lessons learned.
Otherwise, I personally made the best damned healthy wls friendly Thanksgiving dinner. Even the white carbs of mashed taters were loaded with protein and healthy goodness. I'll post in my profile the pics. The stuffing was modified to be healthy (had 2 bites) Well, it was a hit and noone questioned the food AT ALL cuz it looked naughty but it was very nice
Anyways, did anyone run a turkey trot yesterday? I saw your posts and you guys ROCK!!! What is the plan today?
For me, maybe a visit to the gym later but I am not one to do shopping in chaos so won't really be going out there today unless I have to.
So stay safe, warm, hydrate, take your vits, protein up, and HAVE A FANTABULOUSLY FUN FITNESS FRIDAY!!!!

Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. I worked 4 hours today and got 2 - 15 minute walks in. It's raining...no push-ups.

Bummer you had to work but at least it was only 4 hrs...and 2 walks in...yay!! It's cold here like in the teens so no walking outside for me unless I HAVE to...lol.
You always remind me that there are 'indoor' adaptions to getting in a workout. Like your pushups. One day I did 40 pushups...minor I know...then did 1 and 1/2 pull up...yes, the 1/2 counts!!! on my DS2 pull up bar (cuz every teen boy has one right?? ROFL) and let me tell you momma I was so sore the next day!!! whew...good stuff.
So, that gets my wheels turning on an indoor routine. hhhhmmm

Does shopping count as exercise? I was awake at 5am and for the first time ever, I decided to go shopping at 6:15. What fun to drive to the store in the dark.
Actually Diana, I know you won't count the shopping so I'm headed out to walk the lake at noon with a WLS buddy. Then later today I'm going to walk another mile so that will give me 4+ for the day. My ankle is killing this morning so I'm not going to do anything else but walk at whatever pace it allows.

Thank you my friend! I'm glad you rested today. I had a great day ~ moved out DS1 again, went to dinner with my DH, went for my daily starbucks habit...they missed me yesterday, they called and said to come in today.......so I had to go get my latte. Then went to get movies. Gonna have movie night tonight...
