1.) Read any good books lately? The last book I read was a Chicken Soup for the Soul book. I dont read as much as I use to.
2.) Did you stick to your eating plan on Thanksgiving? Not really. My concern was over eating at meal time. I DIDNT do that. However I did graze on turkey every time I went into the kitchen. I also had a cookie. I didnt beat myself up over my eating though because compared to years passed, I did a great job.
3.) Victories/challenges this week? My challenge would have to be the Thanksgiving day dinner. That is my all time favorite meal and I was worried about over doing it. Victories - the scale FINALLY moved!!! It was only 1 lb but I'll take it after being stuck for a month.
4.) Plans for the weekend? Finish decorating for Christmas. Start on my Christmas cards.

Hi Cindy!
1.) Read any good books lately? No. Have the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - but need to read it
2.) Did you stick to your eating plan on Thanksgiving? Yes and No. I ate a bit of almost everything, and passed on the white potatos and rolls! I think overall I did ok - but I beat myself up for the bit I did eat (a couple of pieces of SF pie I took).
3.) Victories/challenges this week? Scared to get on the scale now! LOL - otherwise, not really
4.) Plans for the weekend? Babysitting tonight the granddaughter. BF is coming over to help and we'll spend some time together.

Happy Leftover Day!
1.) Read any good books lately?
Yes! I read a ton. The last novel was brilliant: My Name is Will by Jess Winfield. It's hilarious, well-written, provocative, great. I highly recommend it, especially if you like Shakespeare.
2.) Did you stick to your eating plan on Thanksgiving?
Yup. And my exercise plan, too. The trick, actually, isn't Thanksgiving Day. It's leftover day, at least for me. I'll need to apply the same discipline as yesterday.
3.) Victories/challenges this week?
Making it through the week felt like a huge victory. I'm having some challenges at work that I can't get into, but they're more annoying than anything else.
4.) Plans for the weekend?
Today we return for Leftover Day to see the part of the family that had to be with in-laws yesterday. The young cousins will meet for the first time. Tomorrow we go for ethnic food in Queens at this amazing Thai place. (Can you see how much my life revolves around food? This is why I needed WLS!!) and then Sunday Advent begins in church.
Right now, I think I'm inspired to go put up my tree before my sister comes. So I guess it's time to step away from the laptop...
Have a great weekend!

1.) Read any good books lately?
I read alot. Right now I'm reading a kid's book, The Kane Chronicles: The Red Pyramid. It was written for middle schoolers, but I love the author Rick Riordan and it is a fun action-packed read.
2.) Did you stick to your eating plan on Thanksgiving?
Yes, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, so I left food on my plate. My splurge was fruit salad. I had some cheese at dinner. It didn't sit well in my pouch. I was about an hour of retching, but I had a protein drink after wards and that settled my pouch.
3.) Victories/challenges this week?
I'm feeling so much better. I finally seem to have my allergies under control. Now that my weeks have travel have ended I started walking with my friend again. We decided to add a Saturday walk to our regimen.
4.) Plans for the weekend?
Laundry and relaxing. Nothing exciting. No black Friday shopping. I'm so early out I'm afraid to shop for clothes. Who wants to spend money on clothes I can't wear in 2 weeks? I'm afraid to buy smaller sizes. I'm still wrapping my mind around the idea that I will eventually be able to wear those smaller sizes.

2.) Did you stick to your eating plan on Thanksgiving?
I did. I had my protein and a few good carbs. Actually the cornbread and biscuits were more tempting than the sweets but I stayed away.
3.) Victories/challenges this week?
I met my holiday challenge goal weeks before I thought I would. I've set a new goal based on my current losing rate, 1 lb every 3 day so we will see if I can make it.
4.) Plans for the weekend?
Tomorrow a non-profit does a barn tour every year. I plan on going to see all the fancy barns with friends tomorrw. Sunday, if it isn't too cold, I'll drive and ride the ponies.

1) Almost finished with The Girl Who Played With Fire.
2) Yes I stuck with my Optifast pre-surgery diet.
3) A crazy victory--my jeans are already baggy just from my 1 1/2 pre-surgery diet.
4) Today I left the house at 6 a.m. and now have about 90% of my Christmas shopping done--I won't get much else done today; I'm exhausted. Tomorrow family is coming over.

That book series is wonderful. I've found that the movies are out in Sweden and you can watch them on Netflix. This past week, I watched the first two - the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and the second one. I was in bed a bit because of the pain of the surgery for me (last Friday - a week ago). Can't wait unti the latest one comes out in paperback.
1.) Read any good books lately? Reading "The Scarpeta Factor" having a hard time getting into it.
2.) Did you stick to your eating plan on Thanksgiving? Yes, didn't eat everything on my plate. Stuck to protein first, then a bite of everthing!
3.) Victories/challenges this week? I haven't worked out this week, but will get back to it next week.
4.) Plans for the weekend? YES!!! My DD and DH are taking me somewhere, but I have no idea where (turning the big 40 Monday) I know it's close enough to drive, but staying for the weekend. A swimsuit is required. My DH almost crapped himself when my DD pointed out I didn't have a swimsuit. I have already given it away for the winter. I had to run around town Wednesday and found one at the thrift store. I'll let you know Monday where we went!
