a friend of mine with a VSG has a doctor handling it but I was hoping to get some advice from ya'll.

here  is her info, appreciate your imput.

Vitamin D  15.0  ( normal is 32.0- 100.0 ng/mL)

B12  218 ( normal shows 211-946 pg/mL)....she said I was low and called in a script but that shows in the normal range??

her doc gave her RX this is what she says about that

Ok...just got back from CVS and basically waht I got is an over the counter vitamin

sublingual B-12 2500 mcg...take once a day

This says Vit D2 1.25 MG ( 50,000 unit)

twice a week.  It looks about the size and shape  of a skittle...capsule that looks like it has liquid in it.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

It says the range is 32-100 for Vitamin D but recent recommendations are to keep your Vitamin D over 55, not 32. The D2 is useless for most of us. She needs D3 which you can get at GNC or VitaLady.

For B12, she's in range, but barely. I wouldn't hurt to take some B12 and get more in the middle of the range.

She might want to take that sublingual B12 twice a day and retest in 3 months. She wants that level to be at the top of the range or a little over.

Just as Marie said, the dry D3 is much  better at raising low D levels. She could order her sublingual B12 and D3 from Vitalady. To get her D up, a minimum 2 - 10,000IUs of dry D3 capsules a day . She could go up to 50,000IUs for 3 months and retest. Then go back to 20,000IUs a day. She wants her D levels to come in at 100.
