Hey everyone!
I'm a somewhat newbie - Newbie to finding out about lightweights!
Whoever started this is GENIUS!
Are there any other LW's that have had / going to have the MGB??
I am tentatively scheduled for January 12th, which is roughly 49 days!

I think MGB is mini gastric bypass- its one of the forums. Not sure how t differs from RNY though.

Hi Michelle! My sister had MGB in 2004 and has done great. She was not a lightweight, she was close to 400 lbs when she had the surgery. She lost down to somewhere in the 180's and now hovers close to 200 lbs. It totally changed her life. She was mostly living in a wheelchair, and now we can hardly keep up with her! She is 63 years old now, so 57 when she had the surgery. I took her to North Carolina to have the surgery. Dr. Rutledge is a rather "dapper" guy from what I remember! LOL!
