Wow. You must be so proud....what a difference 1 little year can do...compared to all the previous years of dealing with weight issues. I bet now you can focus your energy in other great things such as fitness. Congratulations. Your post gives me a lot to look forward to. I cant wait to post my success story.

Thank you all so very much!! Here are a list of things that I have accomplished this past year--some WLS related, others not so much--
-Completed my MBA, graduation in December. Started grad school 6 mths prior to WLS
-Ran my first 5k 6 mths post-op and finished under 30 min
-Run, walk, exercise regularly---with my children
-Went to Six Flags and jumped on all the rides without being worried about not fitting
-Wore a swimsuit to a water park and enjoyed every ride with my kids
-No longer worry about not having enough energy to do day-to-day things
-Hiked 5 miles through the Ithaca gorges that is almost entirely uphill at a fast pace
-Feel confident enough to make eye contact and smile back at members of the opposite sex while graciously accepting a compliment (don't ask me about my love life--I'm still searching for Mr. Right and not Mr. Right Now! haha)
-I feel proud to be seen out in public and I'm not ashamed of my body
-Attended my 20th High School Reunion and felt proud in my VS off the shoulder top
-Took a trip to Vegas to see my girlfriends who I had not seen in 15 yrs! Wore a bathing suit at the pool and felt gooooood!
The list goes on and on but the one thing that I've learned throughout this journey is to never take your health for granted. I've been truly blessed with the most positive WLS experience and I have absolutely no regrets!
Best wishes to you all and thank you for your friendship!

Congrats on the one year mark! It feels fantastic doesn't it? You have done so much this last year I only wish I had half your ambition!
