One Year Surgiversary!!

It was one year ago today that I was wheeled into the OR weighing 224 lbs and about to embark upon a year of whirlwind events.

My life has changed drastically since that day and I am forever grateful to my surgeon, Dr. Rahman, who is probably the most humble human being that I have ever met.  I thank him daily for saving my life.

I am now weighing in at 137lbs, size 4 jeans, Medium tops.  My shoe size decreased to 8.5 and my ring size is now a 6.  Aside from sizes, I am more physically fit than I have ever been.  I can run faster, do more pushups and situps than my high school aged cheerleaders which I coach.  (I never would have thought of coaching as an overweight person)  I ran my first 5k at 6 mths post-op and felt such a level of accomplishment than ever before.

WLS has changed my life in the most positive ways--but I am most thankful for my new lease on life.  Thank you LW Board for your continuous support this last year--I'm very grateful!
