The Thanksgiving Elastic Waist Challenge
Hello Everyone,
I can't sleep. So, of course, after thinking through all my work problems and sorting through my bills in my head for a few hours, I decided to think about what to wear for Thanksgiving.
I kept imagining something roomy and comfy that I can lounge around the house in (read: eat whatever I want! ) and then I realized that would be a very bad idea. Here is why:
1. I will be seeing many relatives for the first time since my surgery, and should really wow it up
2. It's a bad idea to make room for an expanding waistline at a holiday that seems to center on food indulgence
3. I seem to recall deciding to change my relationship to food (and food occasions) when I had this surgery...
Well, I haven't quite figured out what to wear yet, but I have figured out this much:
I will not wear anything with an elastic waist, or, even worse, without a waist at all.
I will challenge myself in the structure of my garments to be stylish, comfortable but not gluttonous.
I will be fabulous this Thanksgiving for the first time in...years.
So. Who's with me??? Who's in for the Thanksgiving Elastic Waist Challenge? (Or, maybe I should just call this the Thanksgiving Fabulous Challenge...)
Anything you would add?
Cheers,
Rosa
PS - I know that some of you may routinely wear elastic waistbands, like, every day. What do you think about possibly altering that behavior for this one day? (We can talk about forever a bit later...)
Rock on, LWs!

I will be wearing a styli****em that does not have an elastic waist band. My waist band will tie around in the back. The caption reads, "Wine all the Time". lol
Seriously, when I have to cook, I don't eat well. I might get a couple of bites of this and that, but my sleeve will be tight. [sigh]

Ok, so I know you were talking about me. I have nothing but expandable waistline pants, even my jeans. but I will wear my newest, tightest ones, how about that. And yes, some day I plan on altering that behavior, but not until the sizes are a good bit smaller and my tum tum is too.

There ya go, Price! It's a start!
I only have a minor grr for you, since you've lost so much weight you really *could* wear something without the elastic; you really *could* run on over to the thrift store and find one pair of pants that has none, but that's ok.
Baby steps!
Your smallest and tightest sounds just fine!
(We'll talk later.)
