Welcome to the LW Board.  There was a post a few weeks ago that alot of us posted our weight loss by the month.  I put a link to it yesterday in a post.  You can click on Latest Post under my name and it should bring up the post with the link if you want to look at some of our percentages.

Welcome!  I'm with you on that loss.  Every now and then I pop over to the RNY board & see people with such drastically different numbers.  When I start feeling confused or discouraged, I just pop back on over here where most folks are in the same boat.

Glad you found us!

Welcome Christine! The LW's around here are amazing and super supportive!  This is pretty much my new home next to the RNY and Texas forum. I love it here.  You have done a great job and your weight loss seems to be right on track in my opinion.  Keep up the good work!

Something for all the new LW's to ponder on weather you are pre-op or newly post-op........just my 0.2 cents here folks.....lol

Everyone's body loses at a different rate.  Research studies show that a person with a high BMI will drop weight at a faster rate than someone with a lower BMI.  RNY and VSG post-op's can execpt to lose around 1 pound per day. That's simply a statistic. Not everyone will lose 1 poud per day.  Try to take it 1 day at a time and 1 pound at a time.  Try not to compare your loss to others.  Be happy and positive about every pound you lose.  Set "non scale victories!

Water, Protein, Exercise!

AGREED, AGREED, AGREED!!  *jumping up and down here*

I have decided to stop comparing (so much easier said than done) and realize like a previous poster that I have lost more in the last month than I have in the last 8 years, so i'll take it and smile!

I am thrilled to have found this bunch and feel much more "free" to post without fear of judgement :)

(just curious, are you a private investigator?  I see the user name and liked it! )

Thanks, I like to use catchy names if I can.  I used to be a private investigator...now I work for the state as a criminal investigator.....
