Introduction

Thanks everyone!  I hope to know more tomorrow about insurance approval.  I am going to ask the secretary "nicely" to please submit the letter tomorrow since it's been sitting at her desk for a week now!

Hi Amy, welcome a board.  We are always happy to have newbies join us.

Do you have any medical conditions that might require that you take medication?  Arthritis, previous cancer history, celiac or another malabsortion disease run in your family?

When I met with my surgeon he told me I could only have the Sleeve because of a previous history with Rheumatoid Arthritis and a family history of Celiac Sprue.  It's what I wanted and was happy not to have to fight for it.

Make sure you cover all bases and end up with the surgery of your choice if at all possible.

As Wendy said, they're all successful if we work at it, so you'll be just fine!
