Today makes 2 months post-op for me and I'm down 45 pounds!  I'm very happy with the results.

November has been a tough month.  I've been traveling for the last 3 weeks for work.  The first 2 weeks were easy.  I got in my vitamins, protein, and water.  I even completed all my planned workouts.

(Whine Warning)

This week has been awful!  I got a cold that started on my flight east.  I felt terrible the whole time I was at my conference.  I skipped all the social events and just went to bed.  I didn't get in my protein, vitamins or water like I needed.  Nothing tasted good.  I didn't feel like eating.  When I did eat, nothing stayed down.  I was just too exhausted to even try to work out.  It was definitely hard.  I got tons of compliments about how great I looked. They were nice to hear...very nice. I knew as bad as I felt, I looked like crap, but even a bad cold couldn't hide the changes in my body.  I work with some really sweet people.

I'm glad to be home.  My cold is running its course.  I can feel that it is nearly over.  I've been resting with my DH.  Food still isn't settling in my pouch, but I'm fine with protein drinks for a couple of days.  My focus today is rest, protein and water. I'm falling in love with my bathtub.  It just makes me feel good.

One bad week out of the last 2 months.  I cannot complain. My surgery and recovery have been textbook good and the results, well they speak for themselves... -45!  (Whoo Hoo!)

My travel slows down to a one night trip for December.  I have my 2 month follow-up on Tuesday and we'll review my labs.  I'm sure I'll have tons of questions.

It sounds like you're handling real life. Whining permitted when warranted and you are back in control. Good work. If this were easy, we wouldn't need each other. Congratulations.

Kay, you are handling adversity like a champ.  Good job on taking care of yourself the best you could in the midst of travel and catching a cold.

Your weight loss has been phenomenal.  You should be really proud of yourself.  I hope your labs come back perfect.

You certainly get to whine when necessary.  When you are sick is one of those times.  And here is one of the places.  You are doing great.  Traveling is hard, or has been every time.  I like being in control of what I am eating and that is hard when you are on someone elses schedule and food plan.

Catching colds happens to EVERYONE.......being a lazy but who doesn't eat or drink right when you're sick happens to EVERYONE...........No worries lady!  Do what makes you feel good when you're sick!  I have a friend who does a lot of flying and he drinks 3 glasses of airborne a day while traveling starting the night before a flight continuing until 2 days after he arrives back home.....he swears by it and doesn't get sick nearly as often......it's the recycled air in the plane that will get you sick!

Congratulations on your 45 pound loss!!  That is great.
Wow, I would have trouble traveling that much.  Glad your schedule is slowing down for December.
Feel better soon!!
