I hear you price. I won't lie. I've had my share of "junk" here and there. I crave salty and sweet and I been living on the Orville Redenbachers Healthy Pop single serving kettle corn pop corn. But I never eat enough to gain weight. Usually a bite will take care of the urge then I'm fine but like I said before....things just don't taste as good now. That pop corn is real good.

Melissa, you're normal.  :)

I have a Sleevie and don't dump but I still stay away from sweets as much as possible. On occasion I've had a couple of bites of a fabulous desert (like while in New Orleans or Provence) but it's pretty rare.  I'm too focused on weight loss to get side tracked very often.

The one thing that really calls to me is movie popcorn.  If I eat some, it becomes my dinner meal.

Thanks Lee!

It's funny....there's no ryme or reason to my dumping. I have only a couple of times. I think because I have had a bite of some one elses dessert. I've dumped 3 times in the almost a year. I mean that bad "I want to sleep for half a day" dumping. But I get the 5 minutes of heart race then I'm fine.

My big downfall was fast food so I stay away from that! I am startinig to get the "cooking bug" after 45 year of life.

I definitely don't think of that as bad! I know that eating sweets can sure make some of us feel badly physically, but it shouldn't emotionally. I think those feelings just reinforce our negative relationships with food. Food is important and we can be healthy while tasting them all (in my opinion).

I had to eat conference food all week. Last night, I took a piece of cake and licked a bit of the frosting and then today, I had about 2T of chocolate mousse. Just a few tastes and I'm pretty much happy. I just throw the rest away right away or shove it away from me.

Good choices! I do the same thing. Seems one bite is satifying. Gotta stay away from whole donuts again. Make me some hard boiled eggs to keep on hand. I love those.

Jody! And that's why I highly recoommend the Orville R's Healthy pop kettle corn in single serving bags. You get that salty fix. My downfall after almost a year was Halloween candy. Glad that's gone now. And I'm not even a candy eater!

We had a cheer party Thursday night for our team to celebrate their victory and of course the extra pieces of cake came home with us.  When I came home from work last night the cake box was the first place I headed.  Sweets are definitely my weakness and I just can't have them in the house.  Even the shakiness and heart pulsings can't stop me sometimes.

I  took a really small piece but knew instantly it had to go because I just coudn't stop at one piece.  I packed it up and sent it to camp with my DH.  My DH isn't much of a cake eater buy my DSIL will think I'm the best MIL in the world.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

You and me Roz!

Last weekend I took my mom to see her sister. My mom wanted to buy a cake. We bough a white cake with rasberry filling and cream cheese frosting. Just one of those store bought ones. THIS cake was one of my faves before surgery. If left at  home I could pick it clean like a vulture. Then she sent us home with half that cake and a big piece of cream cheese pie and Mexican bread. I had a taste of that cake but it was too sweet now and didn't touch it once it was home. Cream cheese I can eat out of the box by itself so staying away from the cream cheese cake was hard. Mexican bread NO WAY! My first major dump was about halfway through my journey when I had a half of one of those piggy shape cookies. Haven't touch any mexican bread since!

Good for you for sending it away! I was threatening to throw away all the Halloween candy so my husband packed them in a bag a froze them all. Well DUH...Frozen Reeses are the best.

I very rarely eat anything I shouldn't but the fact is I do. And at almost a year out it's much easier to do so now. But everytime I get a craving I think of my Amante and how much better I am riding now.
