Bad Bad me...confession time...how about you?

I just ate a plain clake donut with chocolate frosting. Now the racing heart started and the "yuck" feeling.

And you know what? Whenever I pull this BS, I find it's never as good before the surgery. So why do it at all? Sweets were so good before but after they are not that great anymore.

Do you have your moments with a no-no food?

No more donuts for me. Just not worth it!

I use to LOVE plain cake donuts.  Had a small bite of one a couple of weeks ago, it didn't taste good, so threw the rest of it away.  I'm glad I can stop eating "no-no" foods, esp after one bite.  That is quite a change from before surg.  I don't dump, but am glad most of the "bad" stuff just doesn't taste good to me anymore.  And even if it tastes good after a couple of bites I am satisfied...that's impressive.  I think this surg/tool are gonna work LOL !!!!

I am still on mushies and I was doing just fine not craving any food or sweets until today when I saw a coworker eat chocolate donuts.  I dont even like donuts that much but they just looked so good today. I stayed away but I am still thinking that I at least want to lick it : ) Need some chocolate!!!!!!! but I'll be strong  and now that I saw your post it just reassured me that I should stay away. THANKS

Melissa.....I sure have my moments.....but, not nearly as bad as before VSG....you are so right.."it's just not worth it"....but, regardless...it happens.....pick myself up, dust off  and move on......

JH Yes, same here. Not nearly as bad as before my surgery either. Funny...I wasn't a big chicken eater before but now I love and actually crave chicken in all forms! lol And same with healthy proteins. A small piece of beef jerkey is so much more satisfying than that donut.

I don't really have a sweets problem, and never really have. My downfall is the salty, starchy, carby stuff. I pretty much don't touch it anymore. I have a few times since surgery, you just have to stop and move on. No one is a perfect eater all the time, and I was super strict until I hit goal, and now I treat myself occasionally. The majority of the time I am really good, so I figure a treat every now and then is not going to hurt me.

That's good Shannon. I am good about 99.9 % of the time...unless I relapse like yesterday, I still have carbs once a day (protein bread toasted w/ Peanut butter) and I eat bananas. It's really sparked my weightloss again. Weird how all our bodies respond. Lost 10 lbs last month and almost a year out. But I love recipies now because I get such a little amount I want a party in my mouth and not a nasty sweet party but a Chef Gordin Ramsey party. His little meals always look so inviting.

Every so often I mess up - for me, it's catfish nuggets! Yummmm - until the sweating starts!

However - HIJACK- Melissa, did you get your Cruel Girl jeans yet? I've found a place here that carries them, and they're on my list for after plastics!

Rebecca!!!  Catfish nuggets! LOL. When I went to visit my dad years ago in Louisiana, we went to a buffet called Stonackers. OMG! All you can eat southern cooking. Thank God we don't have that in Cali! I ate so much catfish!!!

And Cruel Girl! Not yet. The local Boot Barn has them but I haven't tried any on. I keep forgetting I wanted to. Thanks for the reminder. I did buy a pair of Levi's 545's that are very low slung! And a pair of red cowgirl boots! Let me know when you look into the plastics.I want my arms done down the road. I use to dream of going sleeveless after wls but heck no.

I'm still close enough in to be scared to venture out much.  I have been 2 places this week that had sandwich buffets and brownies at the end.  Boy were they tempting.  But both times, I ate my chocolate chews and was fine.  I have eaten maybe 6 potato chips since surgery, 2-3 at a time.  The salty crunchy stuff would be my downfall if I ever had any around but I make sure I don't.
