"It doesn't matter how fast you finish, all that matters is that you finish."
Mostly I quote Jillian Michaels in my head on days when I am feeling lazy, I need kicked in the a$$ more than I need inspired.
"If you're not in pain, nothing's going to change."
"If you're not sweating and uncomfortable, you're not doing yourself any good."
The list goes on.
Today was a hard-core day for me and even though it's cold, I think I might go for a real run on Sunday. Let's see how I feel by then.
Today: 90 minute run on the treadmill, alternating inclines
200 crunches
2 planks
45 push-ups (all real push-ups, none from the knees)

It's not how many times you fall, it's whether you get back up and try again. No clue where I heard that or if I made it up. :)
I walked the lake this morning between raindrops. 3.25+ miles. Ankle really spitting angry at me now but too bad!

I'm waiting for a friend to get back to me with an awesome hindu quote that I heard at a conference yesterday. The minute I read it, I knew I wanted to share it with the Lightweights. I'll post it next week.
Got in a 5 mile run at 4:45 a.m.! it was so dark and I could see shining eyes along side the road. Not sure what it was, but it sure freaked me out! Glad I have a running buddy.

"Find a way or make one." It was the motto for my high school, and it's something I live by now pretty much every day.
So today was my last day in Atlanta. One of my dear girlfriends just moved down there, and she's teaching a boot camp at LA Fitness. I went with her to the gym and did her class. She had some pretty tough moves! We did burpees and leg presses and sprints and jumping jacks and planks and weird pushups and all sorts of painful stuff! Unfortunately, most of the people in the class were pretty out of shape, so it wasn't as intense as it could've been (I pick up on other people's energy in some weird and awfully competitive way) but it was still a good workout!
We finished at 5:30 and my flight was at 6:40, so I hauled booty through the airport, literally running through it to get to my gate in time. I called that my "victory lap". :)
