Happy Friday!
1.) Do you go shopping on Black Friday? Oh, hell No! I am not a shopper. I went once and almost had a nervous breakdown!
2.) Which sugar substitute do you use? I prefer to use Stevia or Truvia, but settle for Splenda. I honestly don't use any of it much at all. Just once in a while I will want to sweeten a cup of tea, but that's the only time I use sweetener other than what comes in sf packaged foods.
3.) Challenges/victories this week? Challenges - The weather has posed a challenge to my workout schedule, but I was able to get in all my miles so far. Victories - I stayed on budget this week. I am really working on budgeting and have a heck of a time staying within my limits, but this week I did it. :)
4.) What are your plans for Thanksgiving? We will be going to my sister-in-laws house. I am thinking of finding a fun game to take along.

I love reading everyone's replies!! Thanks for doing these Cindy. :)
1.) Do you go shopping on Black Friday? Not usually. May do a little internet shopping if there's anything great on sale. I gave my two assistants both the day off. I'm off as well but will still need to monitor things.
2.) Which sugar substitute do you use? Splenda and incorporating a new product that is part stevia/part sugar. I don't use much of either.
3.) Challenges/victories this week? Scale moved a little after 17 days hovering between 169 and 170. My 12 jeans are getting baggy in the legs. Bought a size 8 today that I can button, zip and sit, but too tight to wear out of the house. Back is still giving me problems so all I can do is walk and it still causes pain.
4.) What are your plans for Thanksgiving? I'm going to the home of friends where I've been going for years. They are very supportive of my WLS and wouldn't dream of trying to push food or derail me. I just need to bake a few plain organic sweet potatoes to take. Simple!

Hi Cindy et al!
Here are my answers (I'm a little behind with my posts):
1.) Do you go shopping on Black Friday?
Maybe. I mean, I'll go if I need something that day, but not specifically because it's Black Friday. The family tends to be together that day and we sometimes will go shopping because one of us needs something, but it's probably not going to be Christmas shopping.
2.) Which sugar substitute do you use?
I don't! I hate sugar substitutes. All of them, except Agave, which has too many calories. So I don't use any sugar substitutes at all. Nor do I consume [refined] sugars. My sweet tooth is satiated with fruit.
3.) Challenges/victories this week?
Being away from my dance classes was a struggle (as I traveled this week) but I went to an awesome boot camp class that my friend taught in Atlanta! I haven't weighed myself in a while, but I consider it a victory that I exercised pretty strenuously both days I was out of town.
4.) What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
Going out to "the country" (Westchester) to my cousin's house, where my parents, sister, brother in law, niece, aunt & uncle and cousins will be. That's a small Thanksgiving for us - we usually have around 50 - but it should be great.

1. I shop on Black Friday if there's something I want - otherwise, I stay home! This year... DH wants us to get new TV for our bedroom, so I may be up picking up a 26/29 inch flat screen if the prices are right.
2. Mostly Splenda, but Linda Farnsworth recommends a different one for some her recipes, and I'm going to try that as well (Whey Low? New Whey? I should look it up again... naaah, too lazy)
3. Victories - made it to the gym most of the times I wanted to, and am really seeing definition in my upper arms/shoulders/back (although there's still a lot of excess skin that isn't going away until it's cut off). Challenges - getting in all my snacks/meals: we had a lot of meetings, so I was running from school to school, and with unfamiliar families, I feel awkward eating while we talk. It's ok with the ones who've known me though, and they laugh at the change in what I eat. It's all good.
4. Thanksgiving plans - DB and family as well as DD DSIL will be at our house. DH is grilling a turkey, and I'll be making eggface's pepperoni cups for hors d'oevres, as well as lobster stuffed potato skins. So the kitchen will be full and busy, and it'll be a fun time.
