NSV today, I rode my pony

I think it has been 17 yrs since I have ridden my pony (or horse or whatever I had back then).  I don't remember ever making a specific decision to not ride any more but I remember when I started driving, I did so because it didn't hurt my hips and knees and allowed me to still play with my horses.
One of my goals for losing weight was to be able to ride again.  Today was the day.  Still can't post due to my knees but I did manage to get on, ride for 20 minutes and get off without killing myself.  My pony was a very good girl and although seemed rather confused about the whole thing, she took it in stride.  She has been ridden before, just never by me.  So now to keep it up and keep getting my knees stronger as I continue to lose weight.

That is awesome! About 2 years ago I decided I wanted to take english riding lessons, it was so humiliating calling around to stables to ask if they had a weight limit. I gave up and ended up not doing it.......hmmm....maybe should rethink it now! Kiss your pony!
