Just wanted to give a quick update this morning on my sister Lorie and thank everyone for your prayers and critter swinging.

She came home from the hospital yesterday evening.  She is of course still in a great deal of pain  but is doing okay.  In addition to the lower body lift, the doc did quite a bit of liposuction (a wonderful bonus, as she didn't charge her for it.)

So here is the OMG part!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The doc removed and threw in the tra**** pounds of fat and skin!!!!! OMG!!!  In addition, she lipo-d 5 canisters of fat.  Dr. M. said all total she probably removed 27-30 lbs. OMG!!  My sister is only 5'2" so you can imagine what a difference.  It will take a while before she will see the true difference because of swelling, etc.  But right now, even the initial result is truly amazing.

Thanks again for keeping her in your thoughts.

Julie

Glad to hear things went well with Sis.   She's going to look amazing once the swelling goes down.   Cindy

I must have missed the message where you were talking about your sister before.

I've heard the LBL is the most painful one to go through, especially if there is liposuction BUT WOW - that's a LOT of fat/skin that was taken off. I hope her recovery is quick and the results show up soon.

Be there for her - plastic surgery is SUCH an emotional issue and I had a real problem just with my TT....

Julie,
Thanks for the update and I'm so glad she is home and doing ok.  I bet that is terribly painful.
27-30 pounds is unbelievable!!  I bet she will look totally different once everything is healed.
