Good Morning. Anybody got their Thanksgiving meal planned already?

I let others cook for me......However, we do potluck style and I'm bringing the green bean casserole.  You really should skip the boxed CRAP though!  Hungry Girl has some great recipes.  Maybe you can find some there.  I get her daily newsletters.

Just some ideas......if the links don't take you to specific recipes let me know or you can look for them yourself in her "Chew the Right Thing"archives.

I have NO idea what I'll be having, or even where I'll be going... usually I go to my sisters' place, but my daughter, son in law and grandbaby will be up here. She may be invited to her dads' for Thanksgiving (so my son will probably be going too) - so I don't know what I'll be doing (I'm sure I WON'T be invited to the ex's..) But I'm sure I'll figure something out.

I'm thinking I'll be sticking around town since she'll be here. Need to get as much snuggle time in as I can with Wynn.

I'm doing a tradiitonal Thanksgiving dinner. It's all about moderation. I'm good to go...turkey, mashed potatoes, yams, bread, a veggie....pumpkin pie etc....Last year I made one of the rec from Susan Maria's list....pumpkin custard pie and it was sooo good, with splenda.

I actually cook Thanksgiving for our families.  Not as many are coming this year because some are going out of town.  We have fed the fire department in the past, not sure about this year.
We will have:
Turkey
Ham
Dressing
Chicken & Dumplings
Mac & Cheese
Green Beans
Asparagus Casserole
Fruit Salad
Corn Bread Muffins
Carrott Cake-homemade by my SIL(YUMMY)
Pecan Pie-frozen out of box because I can't seem to make one of these!

I don't really have recipes, I just put things together. I'm off Wednesday so that is my big cooking day to get ready for Thursday lunch.

My sister cooks --- I bring an appetizer...

Cranberry cream cheese
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 c. splenda
2 T horseradish

combine in sauce pan on medium until melted together....

pour over brick of cream cheese and serve with crackers or celery sticks.

LOVE it.

But I may just have to stop by Toni's... not quite on the way but I think it would be worth the drive!

One of my favorite holidays and I'm going to enjoy this year --- I keep experiencing/ thinking about  the "lasts"... last Xmas holiday with the inlaws.... last Halloween....

Trying to talk DH into spending Thanksgiving in mountains..
But I do have a recipe for everyone.
Goes great on Graham crackers or think would work great as a fruit dip.
(3) 8 oz boxes of Philadelphia cream cheese
3 big tbsp of lemon curd
4 ozs of cool whip
1/2 of small box of sf jello lemon pudding
A few drops of yellow food coloring(optional)

Beat all together until nice and fluffy.
Tastes like lemon icebox pie on Graham crackers!
