Another WooHoo moment and a Big Thank You!
Hi all you LW Loves! You are the Dearest people anywhere. I feel so lucky to have you all! I am SUPER BUSY these days working on building a set and making props for my son's high school play, so I haven't been able to get on here and address all of your supportive comments, but I have read each and every one several times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have actually been putting many of your ideas to work and haven't had a late night snacking binge since! Even with all the late night sewing and painting! So thank you!
And I've had a couple more woo hoo moments that I know all of you can relate to: Living here in the frozen tundra of MN, it's so important to have a good winter jacket. Well, since being so huge, I have not owned one that actually fits me. I refuse to wear the Pepto Bismal pink puffer with the crappy nylon fur that I picked up one desparetely frigid day last year. What is up with clothing manufacturers that they think size 24 women want to wear the crap they make??? And if they do make something stylish and understated, it costs an arm and a leg!
Anyway... my woo hoo moment was when during yesterday's 8 inch blizzard I grabbed my son's Northface puffer in the off chance it might do in a pinch, and I found that it not only fit me, it was almost roomy!!! Granted, I could not zip it, but that was okay. I was thrilled! I felt like I actually might be approaching normal again! Then this morning, I tried on my tall and skinny husband's jacket to wear to clean the snow off my car. I COULD ACTUALLY ZIP IT CLOSED over my belly! Yahoo! That was huge in my book of milestones. There is nothing worse than feeling like the big, fat cow wife to a thin husband! So I feel pretty good today ;) I've been shopping for winter coats and jackets for my kids and husband. Now I might even put myself on that shopping list! Maybe Rosa and Toni can show me how to post photos next MONDAY when I see them in NYC, and I'll get some new pics up to show you my progress! Yaaay...can't wait! LOVE YOU GUYS! YOU'RE THE BEST.

Wonderful. I agree with the whole coat thing. I have a puffer down coat for the barn and horses when I am going to be out for a while in the cold. I ahve always felt like the michilan (sp) man in it. A new coat is definately on my list, but not until after Christmas when the prices are down and so am I.

You go girl..........
I feel the same way about the coat dilemna. I've been shopping for weeks and either don't like the ones that fit or am just too cheap to pay big bucks right now. So may be like price and wait til after Christmas.
Wish i were going to meet Rosa and Toni too! hope you have a great time!
