Want to Stop to Smell the Roses (So to Speak)

I can't believe I'm only 2 1/2 wks till surgery.  My problem is that I'm so overwhelmingly busy that I can't take it all in.

I'm working overtime, getting to all my pre-op appointments, trying to have an early Thanksgiving meal tomorrow, implementing more exercise, and burning the candle at both ends.

I would like to be able to concentrate on me!  I want to have time to read the lables on my protein products, look up recipies for post-op, walk in my neighborhood, and of course, spend more time on OH.

Ugh, well I guess the good side is I won't have time to get nervous.

Those 2 1/2 weeks are gonna fly by at the break neck speed you are working at!
Just remember though, after surgery you will have to take time to care for yourself!
So tie up those loose ends now.
Good luck!

ps. love the little smiley!

Staying a little busy is fine, just don't sweat stuff like reading recipies.  Not only are you not going to want to eat, you aren't going to want to cook.  If you have a family, it is a good time to get them involved.  Those bagged pasta dinners in frozen foods are easy enough for anyone to prepare and good.  Every Dr's plan is different but you won't be needed cooked anything, other than maybe soup heated in the microwave for a while.  Get the stuff in the house you need for you for the first week or so and you will be fine.  The rest of it will get done, or not and in 10 yrs, no one will remember.

Kimberly, your 2 1/2 weeks will fly by and before you know it you will be on the loser's bench!!

Try to have the things you will need immediately after surgery.  You will have time to read and study while you are home recovering and you can always asked questions here!!

Good luck to you.  Keep us posted.
