Update on my hubbys consult
Just wanted to give an update on my hubby's consult today.
It went great! He's for sure set on the Sleeve. Looks like our insurance has changed since my RNY and they are covering VGS's now! YAY for us! He will know in about 2 weeks if he is a approved case or not. Then he has to do 3 nutrition classes, lower is BP and have a stress test. We are super excited! His weight today was 252 and he's 5'9 so he's not "morbid obese" but he meets out insurance requirments!
I had my labs drawn. They will send me the results and then call me to tell me if I need to tweek anything. He did tell me I needed to be on a good iron suppliment. I will be ordering some new stuff from Bariatric Advantage tonight! LOL I did have a little 5 lbs weight gain from the last time I was there. I weighed 130 pounds today and can you belive the told me I needed to lose 10 pounds? I thought it was funny!
Anyway.....I'm in a hurry so I will update more later!
Thanks for all the support!

When I have labs done they always mail me a copy and then call me and go over them with me. We live 1:30 min from my surgeons office. Tweek as in, they tell me to increase this of lay off that. Like last time they told me to up my "green leafy veggies" lol
Thanks! Yes, hubby is on his way....so exciting!

Most of us keep a spreadsheet on our labs so we can watch the trends on them. Sometimes our doctors will just look at the latest set of labs and if everything is in normal range they say all is ok where in fact you could be trending down on something and if you keep the spreadsheet and look them over you would notice this and could bring it to their attention. Also a lot of things that the results show in normal range could actually be low for us with rearranged insides. For example B12, normal range for us would be too low.
We are just proactive and want to stay on top of things before they become a problem. MajorMom (Gina) posted the link to Vitalady's spreadsheet for labs a couple of days ago if you want to look at it.
Good luck on your labs!!
