That is so interesting.  They mostly do single family homes here and ocassionally a duplex.
I can't imagine having to pay 2500/month.  I love to watch House Hunters and the different prices and housing needs everywhere.

Habitat does a great service all over the world.  Each year around Easter they used do have a building blitz and put up so many houses in 1 week.  We had people come in from everywhere to work on these houses.  My DH worked on one for the Fire Department and he said the people were so appreciative and would never have had the chance to own a house if not for Habitat.

Cindy, I just love this post.  I always come back and read it Sunday afternoon so I can check out everybody's responses.

1.  Leave Favorite Chore - cleaning the bathroom - I used to pay my daughter to clean for me when she was at home and younger-cheap labor!!

2.  Favorite type of exercise - My favorite thing to do is to just do a fast walk.  I do change it up every now and then.  I"m very sporadic with exercise.

3.  Challenges/Victories - Personnel issues at work are getting me totally stressed out-I'm not involved but just end up in the middle due to my position.  Hopefully it will be over after next week.  When I get stressed I have a hard time eating protein which leads to eating other things like carbs that go down so easily.  My victory is that I have done better than I did the week before.  I did get my water/fluids back up and exercised a couple of days this week.
1 more victory - I signed up for a 5K with my niece that will be 12/11.  Now I need to start getting ready for it.

4.  Plans - My weekend usually always revolves around my DGD's.  I need a nothing weekend, but then I don't get to see them for 2 weeks and I just can't do that.  We are retaking some Christmas pictures of them together Saturday afternoon.  Nothing tonight!!  Today is an early day so I get off at 4.  Sunday will be Sunday School & Church and resting.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

1.) What's your least favorite household chore?
I have to go with laundry.  I don't mind the process through the folding.  It is the putting it away piece that I have a problem with.  When we got married, my DH agreed to put the laundry away if I handled the rest of the process.  Fast-forward 18 years and it hasn't  quite worked out that way.  He's got more clothes than me and can't seem to find a spot for all of them.  Bear in mind, we have a 5 bedroom house....that's 4 closets outside of the monstrosity we share and his clothes are still piled in laundry baskets in on the floor of our room.  (Wow...I didn't me to vent on a pet peeve.  DH really is a great guy.  He has many fine qualities, excluding laundry).  I think laundry is a frustration because neither of us really want to do the chore.

2.) What's your favorite type of exercise?
I love my Wii Fit.  Mostly I walk though.  I'm getting faster and pushing myself more.

3.) Challenges/Victories this week?
It was Week 2 of my November of travel.  It wasn't as easy as last week.  I went to LA to teach a course.  Eating was a struggle this week.  I learned so much from my mistakes.  I didn't pack a container (blender bottle) for my protein.  I had to eat in the group setting so I don't think I got all the protein I needed.  I won't even go into the chicken lesson from Tuesday.  I forgot to pack my calcium, but had all my other vitamins with me.  On the plus side, I got in all the workouts that I planned.  I'm really dragging today.  I think my protein issues and the time change is kicking my butt.  Glad to be home!!!! And I'm sipping protein as I type.

4.)  Plans for the weekend?
We have a retired Air Force meeting on Saturday.  Followed by the Expo for the San Antonio Marathon.  My DH is running the half on Sunday.  Sunday  will be about getting him to and from the race.  I'll need to make sure he recovers properly.  DH has a birthday the week before the marathon.  He runs the half to prove "he's still got it."  I wish he'd train for it.  He's a runner 3-6 miles.  He just "guts out" the half to prove he can.  At 54, I can't change him.  I can only make sure his insurance is up to date.  He's such a man, but he's my man   Mostly, I'm going to enjoy being home....before I leave for CT on Monday.

Hi everyone, it is so much fun to read what everyone is doing, thank you Cindy!  Linda what a great idea to read this Sunday!  My least favorite chore is also putting away the laundry, I don't mind washing or drying, I just hate putting it all away.  My clothes are easier to put away now though because I got rid of almost everything!!

My favorite exercise is walking my dogs (two black schnauzers), weather permiting.

I feel like my victory is I am still losing weight, it is slow, but it is coming off.  My dr is happy but I want to get to the middle of my BMI range.  I have tracked my food everyday.  Challenges are to eat enough, especially enough protein.

No weekend plans.   DH is working.  Weather is cold and gloomy.  Maybe housework???
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Truly love these posts, makes you think....

1.) What's your least favorite household chore? LAUNDRY! With the 6 of us it is hard to keep up. I dont mind washing and drying it is the folding and putting away that gets me. Add in there socks UGH! Rather have them in a basket and grab as I need them.

2.) What's your favorite type of exercise?
Walking, doesnt have to be fast it can just be a leisurly stroll and I just adore it.
3.) Challenges/Victories this week? Getting a job is still me biggest challenge. Victory, finally getting help with my monthly ( bi monthly) issue and having the Dr tell me I am looking good.

4.) Plans for the weekend?

Not many, volunteering for the band tonight, cleaned the garage yesterday. Probably putting up lights on the house ( fairly warm right now and a good time to do it) then just house work and homework.

1.) What's your least favorite household chore?  All of them.  I don't do house work!

2.) What's your favorite type of exercise?  Water classes-pilates, sculpt, aerobics

3.) Challenges/Victories this week? Tried Zumba for the first time.  I am sure I looked like a deranged monkey- but I torched almost 700 calories so I will be going back and staying in the back corner.

4.)  Plans for the weekend?
I work tonight so sleep tomorrow.  My husband and I are both off on Sunday so we are still planning for this rare event!

Hi Cindy!!! and LW's....

1. My least favorite chore...all of them to be honest. But when my OCD kicks in, I love it to see the progress. BUT I can certainly say without a shadow of a doubt that the least favorite chore EVER to me is DISHES. I hate cleaning dishes, putting them away, everything about it. I'd rather do bathrooms than dishes. Bleh bleh...

2.  My favorite type of exercise...I like all exercises that challenge me period. So I love lifting weights and pushing the limits. I love running the most though. Running allows my brain to detox while the body gets into a smooth pattern. My least...LUNGES...ugh, hate them hate them. I'd rather do dishes than lunges...lol

3.  Challenges/Victories...this week the scale moved down a pound so I am 130 point something now. This morning was 130.8. I've been doing great sticking to the protein shakes during the day and eating light but I really must curb this snack fetish I've created. It's all mental and stress induced and I will be detoxing and doing therapy on myself later. For right now...at least I acknowledged a problem. That's the first step right?

4.  Plans for this weekend include rest and relaxation and probably some clothes shopping. I want to actually get snow boots before the snow gets here. Plans for next week...increase my exercise close to what I was before my latest surgery. I have all the equipment (compression garments, workout clothes, etc) to get going again.

Let's do it LW's...thanks Cindy for posting this....

1.  I hate to dust.  Seems kind of silly but we get so much dust mixed with cobwebs-yuck.
2.  Haven't learned to enjoy exercise much.  I try to do a few minutes on the elliptical before I hit the treadmill.  I like to bike when the weather is cool, and swim when the weather is hot.
3. I had a lot of trouble eating enough protein this week.  The lunch provided at our workshops was always from the deli-sandwiches, pasta, salads and soups.  I'm still supposed to be on protein only so  was picking out the protein from the sandwiches and pasta.  I had the soup-a no-no and some of the bread.  That being said, I did skip dessert and didn't drink and eat at the same time.  Fluids were WAY WAY low, too. On the plus side, I used the hotel gym every morning.  Even got up early at 6 a.m. to do it.  Yeah me.
4.  Today is my 4th anniversary.  My flight should be in by 10:30 p.m. and DH and I are heading down to the Florida Keys for a weekend away!
