Hi all - new here
Welcome Mary.
Don't worry about Thanksgiving. Just eat what you want, monitoring the portions. I can eat almost anything now, at 2+ months out, just smaller amounts. I had 16 days of vacation with last supper syndrome and surprisingly, came home the same weight. You really will be able to eat all those things again, if you still want them. My taste have changed greatly and most folks do.

Welcome Mary! Roz said it best...... we all have the last supper syndrome. I bet you'd be hard pressed to find someone who actually didn't give into it! I know I did and I was happy I did! Just remember portion sizes and you'll be fine. Wow you are so close to your date you're gonna love being on the inside looking out!

Wow everyone!
Thanks for all the kind words of support. I need to figure out the signature thing.
I am having RNY.
My highest weight was 270. I currently weigh 222. I am 5'2.
I have struggled to get much below my current weight, hence the surgery. Plus my mother died a horrible death from diabetes and I am doing my best to avoid that.
Thanks again.

Hi Mary!
Welcome to the LW board. It's a pleasure to have you here.
And, obviously you have a great sense of humor - love your name. :)
I had one of the best meals ever as my "last supper" (which is such a strange phrase because it certainly isn't the last supper!) And guess what? I could eat that meal again. I just wouldn't eat anywhere near as much as I did then.
You're going to do great. Like Roz, I would suggest adding a ticker, adding your surgery type and goal weight, and date. It's really encouraging to see the ticker slide down as your weight drops, and it helps all of us respond to you more effectively as we continue to support you on the board.
Good luck, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you!
