A good protein breakfast?
Hi Ashley,
Have you had your labs drawn lately? Might be low on something.
I drink Protein Decaf Coffee in the mornings.
I have had omlets made with Egg Beaters, cheese and sometimes ham cut up in it. I have experimented with the protein pancakes, cottage cheese pancakes and other recipes I've found on line.

I use the Syntrax Nectar Latte protein.
I use a big mug and put 2 cups of water in it, microwave for 2 minutes, add 2 tsp decaf coffee, 1 tsp splenda. In a measuring cup I put 1 scoop of the protein powder add 1/2 cup Hood Calorie Countdown milk and stir until smooth. Pour this into your coffee. By making the milk/protein mixture separate the protein won't clump and you can have hot coffee.
Diana just posted a great protein coffee with hot chocolate on this board over the weekend. I tried it and it was really good.

I tried this pre-op and loved it. Cant' wait to have it when I get off full liquids. Take one packet of unflavored (plain) oatmeal and make it according to the directions. Add 1 tablespoon peanut butter and a 2 tablespons of greek yogurt and stir..add a few frozen blueberries if you want...tastes like a PBJ sandwich!!
I always have a protein decaf as soon as I wake up and as soon as it is gone, I eat breakfast or I'm never going to get everything in. It is usually yogurt, an egg, cheese grits, ham grits, protein oatmeal. But lately I have had stuff that was really good for supper the night before and I couldn't eat any more of so I would have it for breakfast, like a pork chop or a hamberger patty. Lunch meat wrapped around a cheese stick is a good breakfast to go if you need something to carry with you.
