I'm not sure we've met....WELCOME!!!!

Breakfast for me is a 1 1/2 scoops of Protein 35g.  My pouch doesn't really like food in the morning.

If I ate breakfast I'd probaby have Southwestern Egg Beaters and bacon or sausage.

We don't seem to be big breakfast eaters on here, but I'm sure you will get some good suggestions.

Roz

Toni, now that's it's cooler in the morning, I sometimes make a protein hot cocoa with 1 scoop of powder and soymilk.  34 protein.   But, it just doesn't keep me full until lunch and I'm prowling for a snack which I try not to do.

One thing I have found I like is low fat cottage cheese with a couple of slices of fruit in it.  I also started drinking protein coffee in the morning.

My favorite breakfast is BodyTech Dutch Chocolate Protein Pudding made with unsweetened soymilk.  25 grams in the pudding and 4 in the soymilk.  Great start to the day.  I get the pudding in single serve packets at Vitamin Shoppe. It takes about 2 minutes to mix up and throw into a container to take to the office for later in the morning.  If not that, I eat anything left over from dinner or hardboiled eggs.  I've eaten low carb for so many years that I can easily switch breakfast with dinner etc.

Nice to meet you Ash!

This is a reciepe I used when I was newly post op.  I havn't made it in a LONG time.  I doubled my origonal for you.

1 Arnold Select Thins Whole grain roll
1/4 C eggbeaters
1 Scoop Unflavored Unjury protien powder
skim milk to thin
2 slice Precooked Bacon
1 Slice Sargento Lowfat Pepper Jack
1 Slice Sargento Mild Cheddar

Spray a small fry pan with NF butter flavor cooking spray and heat while mixing eggs

Mix eggbeaters and protein powder with just enough milk to thin back to the origional consistancy of the eggbeaters.  Pour into preheated frypan and cover until cooked flipping to brown otherside.

Heat Bacon in microwave

Stack up your samich anyway you like and ENJOY!

I enjoy 1/2 cup of Trader Joe's Greek Yogurt and 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean cereal with some Stevia to sweeten it.  It's good and has about 24 grams of protein but doesn't sit heavily in your stomach either.

I will get in 26g protein in my coffee protein drink at around 6am.....then if I feel I need something else, at around 9 or 10, I may have a greek yogurt.

Hi Ash, I do a little hybrid of both protein drinks and reg food for the mornings but then again my work day is very long so I think it helps a lot....Here is what I change up for food in the morning

cottage cheese with fruit topping
egg bites (visit www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com ) I make mine with eggbeaters
hard boiled egg and cheese stick
sliced lunch meat (turkey pastrami) and fruit
Oatfit oatmeal (100 cal) you can add protein powder to it to beef it up

If I go out to eat then it's usually 1 slice of bacon and egg beaters. I'm pretty boring that way.

Good luck and have fun with it!!
