 Hello Team!

Sorry to be posting so late this Sunday but I've been out having fun all day!

How did the week go for you?  Are you any closer to your New Year's Goal?

My scale is still at 169 but my body is changing.  Today I wore my new size 12 Lee jeans and they were a little loose.

I tried on my size 10's and they are almost ready to be worn in public.

So my victory was in clothing, not on the scale last week.

This week I want to up my protein and see if I can get the scale moving!

How are you doing??

No need to apologize for being out having a great time, Lee!

What a delicious victory for you!  And, I imagine that they aren't that bad for public consumption, but I won't pu**** - you'll be comfortable in those 10s soon enough!

As for me, this was a strong week.  I don't expect to have weeks like this every week of the challenge, but it feels great.  I think I'm noticing the most changes in my body in the 150s - the difference between 159 and 156 is dramatic.  And weird.  I think it could be that I'm doing such intense dancing now that I'm getting more toning in or something.

So I'm with you, Lee.  I think that the scale only tells a tiny bit of the story.  The good news is that we're all paying such close attention to our bodies that we're really noticing the differences!

Rosa, Isn't it amazing to feel the difference in 3 pounds?  Prior to surgery I could go down 10, up 13 etc and barely tell the difference, except in how long it took me to get up a flight of stairs etc.

I'm so happy that you're noticing all the changes in your body and honoring them.  So many people talk about shedding pounds and living with a stranger who just happens to be THEM.  You're connecting to your body every pound of the way.

I know you're right about all that dancing toning your body.  Keep up the great work!!

I ended up having a good week.  I traveled and that is still difficult for me.  Leaving again today to take the little pony to a drive.  I did lose 2 lbs which amazes me and my 18 jeans are getting baggy.  I can now wear my "bubba suit", carheart overalls over my clothes instead of just over my nightgown to go to the barn in the winter.  I spent the whole time at the pagent walking which would have been impossible 2 months ago.  Only 6 lbs to go for my New Years goal so that will need to be adjusted for sure.

YAY Price!  Only six pounds to your holiday goal is amazing.  You had quite a few victories this week with the clothing, walking and weight loss.  Good job!!

I lost 2 pounds this week, so I'm that much closer to my goal! I've been sticking to the plan pretty good and seem to have much more control over my carb intake. Need to be posting on Menus and Miles this week to stay accountable though.

Lee, I've noticed the same thing about the clothing sizes. I've been pretty much stuck for a month, but all of a sudden everything is too big. I think I'm probably at a 12 pants and a M top, which is so weird to me. I just need to do a little shopping so I don't look like a bag lady at work!

Good job sticking to your plan last week!  Those carbs can be really tough.

When you go shopping, try on the 10's and see if they fit.  You might be very surprised.  At your weight I'd definitely try on the 10's and then some 8's to see how close you are.

Toni,  1.8 is fantastic!  Those pounds add up so quickly.

Tell about the 5 day pouch test, what you're doing, how you're feeling etc.  Please.  :)

Good job on your food and exercise!

Good morning Lee & fellow challengers.  I had a crazy weekend.  Eating things I wouldnt normally eat, not nearly enough exercise or fluids.  I had a great time but glad its over. Luckily the scale didnt show any damage.  Im still bouncing around between 2 numbers. Its Monday, back to my healthy routine.  Increasing the exercise, protein, & liquids. Good luck everyone.  Cindy
