I've been lurking around this website for a while now and think this is the place for me to get the encourgment and help i need to do this right this time. I had a VBG in 2000 i lost about 80 pounds and slowly put it all back on. So i  am having a revision Dec 8th to RNY. The surgeon will also be repairing a hernia for the second time. My surgery will be open.I have lost 30 # so far while waiting for my surgery date. It hasn't been that hard because going back to the high protien meats and veggies sends me to the bathroom alot to throw up. I was never able to eat meat without getting sick after i had my VBG and raw vegtables also make me sick therefore i learned to eat around this problem. I was eating a lot of carbs they go down easy and stay down but always leave you hungry for more. I have given up simple carbs. It was hard at first' but i really don't miss them now. Watching what other people eat on here has been alot of help to me. I thank everybody for the help and for teaching me so much . Everybody on lightweights seems so eager to help . I have posted a few times on other forums without much help, so if you don't mind I think i will make this the place i come to for help.
Thanks for listening to my story, Cathy

Welcome to the LW Boards Cathy.

Congratulations on your soon to be revision.  I can't imagine throwing up all the time.  I'm sure that was no fun.  It is great that you have already lost 30 pounds!!
