New Town and New Loves
I am back from a working trip to Chicago. It was cold and I have discovered I do not do as well in the cold as I used to. But it was a wonderful trip otherwise. I walked EVERYWHERE!!!! The shopping on the Magnificent Mile was spectacular and being able to fit into something in every store was a huge NSV...I did not buy anything but a hat and some gloves but...oh the dreaming....and to know that the dreaming was not an impossibility....SWEET!!!!!
I started every morning off with a large protein coffee made with 1/2 and 1/2....I am so spoiled now....and then I tried to concentrate on protein but let myself try all of the "Chicago" treats...deep dish pizza was awesome, full of cheese and meat, and the crust was so thin I did not feel like I was missing much by not eating it...the beef sandwiches at Al's were a protein dream...AND I discovered I LOVE goat cheese....of course there were also a few not so great choices...there was a chocolate shoppe next to the hotel....and some of it snuck in my suitcase.......I also discovered Tazo Wild Sweet Orange herbal infusion "tea".....I am in LOVE!!!!!
Since I have been home I have made a trip to pick up plenty of TAZO, goat and mozzarella cheese, Genoa salami, mushrooms, fresh basil, etc to keep my new taste going.....ummm....I am having to fight the urge to eat creamy tomato soup every day....do not know why it has my number so badly but it does....guess its better than somethings I could be eating....
The scale is still holding steady...and I am not panicking about that... yet...

I've never been to Chicago and It sounds like a great trip!
You must have done a great job with your choices if the scale is holding steady. It will probably move now that you are home and getting back into your everyday schedule.
